Use a Maiden Academy tier list as a broad guide, not a rule to pick the rarest hero. The current Pocket Gamer list places heroes in S+, S, A, B, and C tiers, but its recommendations also consider what each hero does and how well that hero fits your lineup. The list is marked updated October 3, 2026, for game version 1.0.23.
What the tier rankings mean
The Pocket Gamer list uses five bands: S+, S, A, B, and C. These are editorial recommendations, not an in-game statistic or a published numerical score. The article offers no formal scoring formula or mode-by-mode ranking method, so a tier indicates the guide’s overall view rather than a guaranteed result in every battle.

The guide says light and dark heroes are generally strong, but it also notes exceptions. That makes faction or rarity a poor shortcut on its own: the list discusses individual abilities, roles, and team synergy as well. Read the current Maiden Academy tier list at Pocket Gamer.
Why role and team fit can outweigh tier alone
A hero’s value depends partly on what your lineup lacks and whether allies can support that hero’s abilities. The list’s examples show how heroes in the same broad ranking landscape can fill very different needs:
#1 Best Overall
- Samurai Eddie comes straight from the 2021 SENJUTSU album cover, featuring armor-clad Eddie from the past.
- Cyborg Eddie is based on the futuristic cover art from the classic 1986 album SOMEWHERE IN TIME.
- They come in beautiful, double gate-folded window boxed packaging perfect for collectors.
| Hero and tier | Role or ability noted by the guide | Team-fit consideration |
|---|---|---|
| Talumexus — S+ | Tank with counterattacks, curse, and taunt | Can combine durability and control effects. |
| Yuzhi Wang — S+ | Damage dealer | The guide says he can perform especially well with the right lineup, including a dark/curse team. |
| Anna Annie — S+ | The twins offer tanking and healing | Can support a lineup’s staying power. |
| Milia — S | Healer who can also revive allies | Combines recovery with revival utility. |
| Brand — S | Warrior who can petrify enemies and prioritizes enemy Priests | His control effect has a specific target priority. |
| Doudou — A | Tank with taunt and counterattack | The guide ranks him below stronger replacements. |
| Dracula — A | Bleed-based damage | Benefits from teammates who support his bleed damage. |
These placements and descriptions are Pocket Gamer’s editorial evaluations. Although the article describes its recommendations as based on extensive testing, the cited material does not provide a testing protocol or independent validation of the rankings.
How to use the list when choosing heroes
- Check the tier as a starting point. A higher placement signals the guide’s broader recommendation, not that the hero is best for every encounter.
- Identify the gap in your lineup. Decide whether you need tanking or control, damage, healing, revival, or another kind of support. Some heroes combine jobs, such as Anna Annie’s tanking and healing or Milia’s healing and revival.
- Match abilities to teammates. Yuzhi Wang’s dark/curse example and Dracula’s bleed damage illustrate why a hero may depend on compatible allies.
- Account for the roster you actually have. The guide advises prioritizing the highest tier when possible, then the next tier, while also choosing for team needs. A lower-ranked hero who fills a missing role may be more useful to your current lineup than an incompatible higher-tier pick.
- Recheck after updates. The tier list is marked for version 1.0.23 and dated October 3, 2026; later game changes may affect its recommendations.
What to compare between two heroes
When weighing heroes in the same or neighboring tiers, compare the practical fit rather than looking only at the letter grade:
Rank #2
- Incredibly detailed 6” scale figure featuring IRON MAIDEN'S TROOPER EDDIE likeness
- Designed with up to 12 points of articulation for posing and play
- Accessories include sword & spear with Union Jack flag
- Includes art card with numbered certificate of authenticity
- Showcased in Music Maniacs themed window box packaging
- Role coverage: Does the hero fill a job your lineup lacks?
- Ability fit: Do control, healing, revival, or damage effects address your needs?
- Synergy conditions: Do you have allies that support effects such as curse or bleed?
- Tier placement: How does the guide rate each hero overall?
- Development investment: The official Google Play description says heroes can be developed through levels, star ratings, skills, and equipment. The available tier guide does not quantify relative upgrade costs, so it does not establish which hero is cheaper or faster to build.
The official Google Play listing describes Maiden Academy as a mobile idle RPG with hero summoning, development, equipment, and a mix of heroes that involves faction and profession balance. Those systems make a tier placement one input among several in building a team.

The published bands and examples explain how to read the guide, but they do not establish an objective ranking formula, scores by game mode, or independently verified hero performance. Treat the placements as editorial advice for the version and date shown, rather than as a universal measure of a hero’s power.
