In practical terms, the game’s length is tied to how much time you spend learning routes and checking areas that are not directly on the critical path. Exploration-based games commonly make cautious players slower than players who already understand the map, so the estimate should be read alongside your preferred play style.
Combat, bosses and progression systems
The official materials identify Death, Medusa, Carmilla and Joan of Arc among the bosses. Belmont’s Curse also uses an Arcana tarot-card ability system and lets Rose customize her equipment with weapons and relics. Those systems give you reasons to experiment instead of relying on one attack pattern for the entire campaign.

Which platforms support Belmont’s Curse?
Belmont’s Curse launched on October 15, 2026, on the following platforms:
- PlayStation 5

Konami’s launch announcement groups the Xbox versions as Xbox Series X|S and separately identifies Xbox on PC and Steam. The product listing names PC and Steam individually, so check the storefront you normally use when confirming a purchase or download.
PlayStation 5
The PlayStation 5 version is part of the official launch platform list. Konami also lists a retailer path for a PS5 Midnight Edition. Physical stock, local pricing and delivery dates are retailer and region dependent, so those details need to be checked at the time you buy.
Nintendo Switch
Nintendo Switch is supported, but it has different storage and frame-rate specifications from the other listed platforms. The official figures are 4 GB for the Standard Edition and 6 GB for the Midnight Edition, with performance listed at 30 frames per second.
Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S
Both current Xbox Series consoles are supported. Konami presents them together as Xbox Series X|S in its launch communication. The product specifications place the Xbox versions in the “other listed platforms” group that runs at 60 frames per second and uses the larger edition-specific storage figures.

PC and Steam appear in the official platform information. No minimum or recommended PC hardware, operating-system requirements or separate performance target by graphics setting are published in that information. Do not infer those requirements from the console specifications; check the current PC storefront listing for the hardware details applicable to your computer.

Konami lists two editions. The Standard Edition is a digital release. The Midnight Edition is offered physically and digitally and includes the base game plus additional digital and in-game content.

What Midnight adds
The Midnight Edition’s extras are clearly specified: a Digital Sound & Art Gallery, a Trevor Style Costume, a Sypha Style Costume and the Family’s Grace relic. Konami’s listed edition information does not describe additional story chapters or a different campaign, so the edition should be understood as a bonus-content package around the same main game.
Physical buying considerations
Konami identifies Midnight as the physical option and lists retailer links for PS5 and Nintendo Switch, including Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Walmart and Target. Retail inventory, launch pricing and regional availability can change quickly after release. A retailer link on an official page is not a guarantee that a particular size, region or platform is still in stock.
Storage and frame-rate requirements
Edition and platform affect the published storage figures. Standard requires 8 GB on the non-Switch platforms listed by Konami and 4 GB on Switch. Midnight requires 10 GB on those non-Switch platforms and 6 GB on Switch. Leave additional free space for system data and any updates; the published figures describe the listed game installation size, not a guaranteed amount of free space your console will request during installation.

The 60-fps specification applies to the other listed platforms, while Nintendo Switch is listed at 30 fps. That is a published target, not a guarantee that every scene or future update will maintain an identical frame rate under every condition.
Which version should you choose?
Choose Standard digital if convenience is the priority
Standard is the straightforward choice if you want a digital purchase and only need the main game. It also has the smaller listed installation size on both Switch and the other platforms.
Choose Midnight if you want the bonuses or a physical copy
Midnight is the relevant option if you want the Digital Sound & Art Gallery, the two style costumes and the Family’s Grace relic. It is also the edition Konami identifies as available physically. Confirm the exact platform and regional stock before ordering.
Choose by hardware when performance matters
For a listed 60-fps target, use PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC or Steam. Switch is the portable option, with a published 30-fps target and lower storage requirements. No feature comparison such as cross-save, cross-progression, resolution modes or platform-exclusive content is provided in the official materials, so those should not be assumed.

Release timing and current availability
The official release date was October 15, 2026. Because that date has now passed, Belmont’s Curse is a released game rather than an upcoming title. Digital availability still depends on the storefront and region, while physical Midnight stock depends on individual retailers. If a listing shows a different date, price or edition name, use the storefront’s current information for that transaction.

Planning your playthrough
Use the completion estimate as a schedule rather than a stopwatch. Players who explore every branch, test several Arcana combinations and repeatedly challenge bosses may take longer than players who follow a direct route. The game’s whip traversal, equipment customization and relic system make experimentation part of the intended structure, but the official materials do not quantify how much optional content exists.
- Reserve enough storage for the edition you are buying, not just the smallest Standard figure.
- Allow time to learn boss patterns, especially if you are new to exploration-focused action games.
- Decide in advance whether physical ownership, portability or a 60-fps target matters most to you.
