That figure includes restarts, cutscenes and pauses, so it measures elapsed play time differently from the shorter time shown on the results screen. For 100% completion, third-party estimates range from GameSpot’s 25 hours or more to a 32-hour HowLongToBeat completionist category.

That distinction matters: the time on the game’s results screen excludes those items and can therefore be shorter than the time a player actually spent in the session. Capcom’s figure is an elapsed-time average, not a claim that every player’s results-screen timer will read 19 hours 14 minutes.
Story and completionist time estimates
| Goal | Time estimate | Source and what it represents |
|---|---|---|
| First playthrough | 19 hours 14 minutes | Capcom worldwide average, updated October 4, 2026; includes restarts, cutscenes and pauses. |
| Main story | 11 hours | HowLongToBeat category displayed by IsThereAnyDeal; a user-submitted estimate, not an official Capcom measurement. |
| Main story plus side content | 14 hours | HowLongToBeat category displayed by IsThereAnyDeal; a user-submitted estimate. |
| Completionist | 32 hours | HowLongToBeat category displayed by IsThereAnyDeal; a user-submitted estimate. |
| 100% completion | 25 hours or more | GameSpot’s editorial estimate, published February 26, 2026; guidance rather than a guaranteed duration. |
The third-party categories are listed by IsThereAnyDeal’s HowLongToBeat display. They are not directly interchangeable with Capcom’s average: they use different completion categories and timing methods. In particular, the 11-hour main-story estimate should not be averaged with Capcom’s 19-hour-14-minute first-playthrough figure.

- For the first time ever in Resident Evil history, players will be able to freely switch between both first- and third-person perspectives throughout the game.
- An Anniversary to Remember: With March 2026 marking the Resident Evil series’ 30-year anniversary, Resident Evil Requiem marks its own milestone in the franchise.
- Pre-orders for Resident Evil Requiem are now open, with the bonus of Grace’s costume: Apocalypse. Please note that the picture weapon does not come with the costume, but it can be obtained in-game.
What should you expect for a 100% run?
There is no completionist-specific duration in the official Capcom statistics cited here. The available reference points are GameSpot’s estimate of 25 hours or more for 100% completion and the 32-hour user-submitted HowLongToBeat completionist category. Treat these as estimates, not a precise promise: the sources do not establish one universally used checklist or timer method for “100%.”
Why the estimates differ
- They count different goals. A main-story run, a story run with side content and a completionist run are separate categories.
- They time play differently. Capcom’s first-playthrough average includes pauses, cutscenes and restarts; its results-screen timer excludes them.
- They come from different kinds of sources. Capcom provides a publisher-reported global average, while the HowLongToBeat figures are user-submitted estimates surfaced by a third-party site and GameSpot’s number is editorial guidance.
For a typical first playthrough, Capcom’s 19 hours 14 minutes is the strongest official reference. For a completionist run, use the secondary estimates as a range of guidance rather than an official benchmark.
