A 7,000mAh battery does not guarantee a fixed number of hours or a universal charging time. Runtime depends on the phone and what you do with it; charging depends on its charging system, compatible adapter and cable, starting charge, temperature, and use while plugged in. Manufacturer figures offer examples for specific models and tests—not promises for every 7,000mAh phone.
How long can a 7,000mAh battery last?
There is no single runtime to calculate from capacity alone. A phone’s display, processor, software, network conditions, signal strength, brightness, and workload all affect how quickly it uses power. Standby, calls, video playback, gaming, and mixed daily use are different scenarios, so a result for one cannot be treated as a prediction for another.

For a concrete example, POCO says its M7’s 7,000mAh typical battery can last up to 2.32 days under the company’s light-daily-use model. POCO Internal Labs also reports up to 28 hours of video playback, 46 hours of calling, and 29 hours of reading. These are separate lab scenarios, not a guarantee of 2.32 days for every owner or a direct comparison with another brand’s tests. POCO says actual results may vary. POCO M7 specifications

OPPO Labs lists approximately 21.8 hours of online video, around 12 hours of MOBA gaming, up to 55.4 hours of screen-off calls, and 950 hours of standby. Those figures describe different test conditions and are not interchangeable with one another or POCO’s results. OPPO says actual results vary with the environment and personal usage. What can everyday use look like?
A separate real-world observation gives a less controlled but more familiar reference point: in a review tested in May 2026, TechRadar’s reviewer said the Xiaomi 17T Pro usually lasted through the day and to a second morning. The reviewer also noted that the test phone was running pre-release software. That is one reviewer’s experience with one phone, not a standardized benchmark or a guarantee for other 7,000mAh models. TechRadar’s Xiaomi 17T Pro review
How long does it take to charge a 7,000mAh phone?
Capacity alone does not determine charging time. The phone’s supported charging system and the adapter and cable used matter, as do the starting percentage, temperature, and whether the phone is being used. A headline charging claim applies to the named phone and its stated setup—not to every phone with a 7,000mAh battery.

OPPO claims the A6 Pro 5G’s 80W SUPERVOOC system can charge from 1% to 54% in 30 minutes and reach a full charge in 64 minutes. Those are OPPO Labs results; the product page does not state a publication year for the claims. OPPO also notes that the 80W maximum depends on regional voltage input and that real-world data varies with test software, environment, and version. OPPO A6 Pro 5G specifications
Regional specifications can change what the number means. OPPO describes the A6 Pro 5G battery as 7,000mAh equivalent typical capacity and 6,830mAh rated capacity. Honor’s product document provides another example of regional variation: it lists a typical 7,100mAh battery for some regions but 6,270mAh typical capacity in Europe, with rated capacities of 6,920mAh and 6,090mAh respectively. For the 7,100mAh configuration only, Honor gives a theoretical charge time of about 47 minutes from 3%, using the original SuperCharge charger and cable, with the screen off and phone in standby at 25°C and 45–80% relative humidity. The document gives no charge-time figure for the 6,270mAh European variant. This is a condition-specific example for a 7,100mAh configuration, not a 7,000mAh charging estimate. What to check before relying on a runtime or charging claim
- Match the task. Look for a figure measured for the activity you care about; video playback does not predict gaming or standby time.
- Check the capacity wording and region. A product may publish both typical and rated capacity, and regional versions can differ.
- Use the compatible charging setup. A phone’s advertised fast-charge result may require a specific charger and cable. The POCO M7’s UK product page says a power adapter is not included and recommends a Xiaomi 33W adapter; check the package contents for your market. POCO M7 UK product page
- Read the test conditions beside the number. Starting charge, screen state, temperature, and lab method can all affect a charging claim.
