Fortnite Festival Jam Tracks are songs you can perform on Main Stage or remix as instrument loops on Jam Stage. A Festival Music Pass is one way to unlock tracks and other rewards, but it is not the only way to access music: some tracks rotate into a limited free selection, and tracks can also be bought in the Shop with V-Bucks.
What is a Fortnite Festival Jam Track?
A Jam Track is a song used in either of Fortnite Festival’s two music modes. On Main Stage, you perform its parts using rhythm-game instrument lanes. On Jam Stage, you trigger and combine instrument loops to create a mix.

Epic’s overview describes Main Stage setlists of up to four Jam Tracks. On Jam Stage, groups can combine loops from up to four different tracks at once, adjusting the mix’s tempo, key, and major-or-minor setting. Some Lobby Tracks can also be used as Jam Tracks. Fortnite Festival is accessed within Fortnite; Epic’s launch overview says no additional download is needed once Fortnite is installed.

There are three main access routes. They differ in whether you own a track permanently or can play it only while it is featured.

Owning a track lets you select it for play; the free featured selection is a temporary way to try tracks without owning them. Either way, Main Stage is for performing song parts, while Jam Stage is for building a loop mix.
What does the Season 15 Music Pass include?
Epic’s July 27, 2026 announcement identifies the current-season pass as the Neon Dreams Music Pass and names four Lil Tecca tracks: “Ransom,” “Dark Thoughts,” “Love Me,” and “500lbs.” It also highlights Festival gear: a music-reactive Tour Ready Lil Tecca Outfit, a Mic Mace Pickaxe, Tecca’s World Back Bling, and a guitar inspired by the Dopamine Tour. Epic describes these as pass-related rewards, but the announcement does not provide the complete reward track.

The same announcement does not state the Season 15 pass price, its end date, or its exact progression requirements. Those details should not be inferred from an earlier season: pass terms can change.
Why you should not assume an older pass’s terms still apply
Season 6 is a dated example, not a guide to Season 15. Epic said the Season 6 Music Pass cost 1,400 V-Bucks and progressed through XP earned from any Fortnite activity that granted XP. Epic also said that season’s rewards were not exclusive and might later appear in the Shop. Those statements describe Season 6; they do not establish the price, XP rules, or later availability of rewards for every Music Pass.

At launch, Epic described a free reward track and a Premium Reward Track upgrade. That general structure does not confirm the current season’s price or terms. Check the in-game pass details for the season you are considering before spending V-Bucks.
Can you use a drum kit or microphone?
Optional hardware applies to particular performance modes; it is not required to play Festival. In its April 15, 2026 Season 14 announcement, Epic said Mic Vocals can use a microphone that works in Fortnite on PC and console, and Pro Drums supports a Rock Band 4 or compatible MIDI drum kit.

Epic’s statement does not confirm specific third-party drum-kit models or establish compatibility for every platform and setup. Check that your exact device works with Fortnite on your platform before buying it for Pro Drums.
How large is the Jam Track catalog?
In a 2024 first-year recap, Epic reported that Fortnite Festival had more than 280 Jam Tracks covering 236 artists. The same retrospective reported more than one trillion notes played and 3.6 billion Jam Loops created during that first-year period. These are historical figures, not a current catalog count or a measure of today’s player activity.
