The listing calls out hidden glades and runes as discoveries. Glades give exploration a reason beyond collecting raw materials, while runes are tied to decoding and to the lore of Trollheim. Exploration therefore includes observation and interpretation: look for places that do not stand out from the main path, and investigate markings rather than treating them as decoration.
Meeting the Väsen
Handcrafted Väsen inhabit the forest. They can be friendly or dangerous, and the description says their relationships can respond to how you treat them.
