There is no dependable single subscription with every Batman film. In U.S. listings checked between July 1 and August 1, 2026, Max carried most of the major live-action run, while the 1949 serial was free on Fawesome and the 1966 film appeared on fuboTV and digital stores. Because streaming licenses change—and the fuboTV listing was shown only through September 1, 2026—you should verify each title immediately before watching.
This guide defines “every” clearly, separates serials, live-action films, animation and crossovers, and gives the least-friction legal route.

What counts as “every Batman movie”?
The core list below means feature-length productions centered on Batman, including the two theatrical serials. It does not quietly mix in every film where Bruce Wayne appears.
- Core films: the 1943 and 1949 serials, the 1966 film, the Burton and Schumacher films, Christopher Nolan’s trilogy, and The Batman (2022).
- Animated expansions: films such as Mask of the Phantasm, Year One, Under the Red Hood, The Dark Knight Returns and The LEGO Batman Movie.
- Broader DC appearances: Batman v Superman, Suicide Squad, Justice League, Zack Snyder’s Justice League, The Flash, Joker and Joker: Folie à Deux. These are optional crossover or villain-led films, not solo Batman movies.

The quickest subscription-first marathon
Start with Max for the eight-film live-action block identified in the checked U.S. listings:
- Batman (1989)
- Batman Returns (1992)
- Batman Forever (1995)
- Batman & Robin (1997)
- Batman Begins (2005)
- The Dark Knight (2008)
- The Dark Knight Rises (2012)
- The Batman (2022)
Depending on the listing, these may also appear through Max Amazon Channel or YouTube TV. A channel add-on is not automatically the same product as the standalone Max app for billing, downloads, profiles or picture quality. The checked listings showed a $10.99 monthly signal for some Max titles; confirm the price and plan at Max before subscribing.
Core Batman watchlist and U.S. availability

How to fill the gaps
The 1940s serials
The 1949 Batman and Robin is a serial rather than a conventional single feature and was listed free with ads on Fawesome. The 1943 serial was not verified in the available listings, so check exact-title results, specialty sellers and physical-media catalogs rather than assigning it a service.
The 1966 film
Batman: The Movie is separate from the complete 1966 television series. The checked listing showed fuboTV availability only until September 1, 2026, plus rental or purchase options from Amazon Video, Apple TV Store and Fandango at Home. Since that date has passed, a digital rental may now be simpler than taking a full fuboTV subscription. Official destinations: fuboTV, Amazon Video, Apple TV and Fandango at Home.
Animated films
Animated titles are a separate catalog. Check each exact title and year, including whether The Dark Knight Returns is offered as one combined feature or as Part 1 and Part 2. Relevant title pages include the combined listing and Part 1.

Cheapest legal strategy
- Already have Max: watch its eight-film block first, then rent only missing titles.
- Starting from zero: compare one month of Max plus rentals with buying a digital bundle. A month of Max may be efficient if you finish all eight films before renewal.
- Only need one gap: a rental commonly shown around $3.99 is often cheaper than a new subscription. The Batman (2022) was shown at $5.99 on some retailers.
- Want repeat access: buy digitally in one preferred ecosystem or choose Blu-ray/4K discs. Digital purchases provide retailer-account access under that retailer’s license terms, not an unrestricted file.
- Want free viewing: use a genuinely free, ad-supported listing such as the verified Fawesome entry for the 1949 serial. A trial is not the same as free access.
Checked U.S. listings showed digital purchases roughly $4.99–$9.99, but retailer, format and promotion change the total. FuboTV’s earlier 1966 listing showed a seven-day trial followed by $32.99 per month; verify trial length, renewal price and cancellation deadline before entering payment details.

Release-history order
Watch the 1943 serial, 1949 serial and 1966 film as historical interpretations, then proceed through 1989, 1992, 1995, 1997, 2005, 2008, 2012 and 2022.
Modern live-action marathon
- Batman (1989)
- Batman Returns (1992)
- Batman Forever (1995)
- Batman & Robin (1997)
- Batman Begins (2005)
- The Dark Knight (2008)
- The Dark Knight Rises (2012)
- The Batman (2022)
Optional crossover extension
Add Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, then either Justice League or Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Treat Joker and Joker: Folie à Deux as separate villain-led stories, not entries in the solo Batman continuity.

- Batman: Death In The Family
How to check availability before pressing play
- Search the exact title plus release year—for example, “Batman and Robin 1949,” not just “Batman.”
- Open a title-specific listing such as JustWatch and confirm the country is United States.
- Read the transaction label: included with subscription, channel add-on, free with ads, rent, buy or disc.
- Check the plan name, expiration date and video format. Max, Max Amazon Channel and YouTube TV may have different terms.
- If your marathon depends on a title, rent or buy it before starting; a license can disappear between films.
Use the official vendor pages for account terms: Max, fuboTV, Fawesome, Warner Bros. home entertainment, Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
The Bottom Line
For a U.S. Batman marathon, use Max for the main eight-film live-action run, Fawesome for the listed free 1949 serial, and a rental, purchase or physical disc for anything missing. No single service reliably contains every Batman film, and the 1966 fuboTV listing that ran through September 1, 2026 must now be rechecked.
