Battlefield 6 seasonal events are time-limited activities with event-specific objectives and rewards. For the current Deep Six Collection Event, EA lists an October 12, 2026 end date: play across Battlefield 6 and REDSEC, complete contracts, and gather intel devices to progress toward the Royal Navy Dive Knife, also called the Diver’s Knife in update notes. Because EA has changed the published schedule, check its current event listing before planning your progress.
What the current Deep Six event asks you to do
EA’s current Battlefield 6 event listing says Deep Six is available until October 12, 2026, across Battlefield 6 and REDSEC. Its stated activities are completing contracts and gathering intel devices. EA’s September 14, 2026 Game Update 1.4.3.0 notes describe the event as a way to “earn a series of exclusive rewards” through those activities.

The final collection reward is a knife: the current event listing calls it the Royal Navy Dive Knife, while the update notes call it the Diver’s Knife. EA’s published material establishes the activities and final reward, but not the number of contracts, intel devices, or reward steps needed. Check the in-game event track for the requirements shown to your account rather than relying on an assumed threshold.

Event dates can change between an initial guide and a later listing. EA’s September 14, 2026 Season 4 event guide originally said Deep Six would run from September 15 through September 29. EA’s later update notes and its current game page instead list October 12 as the endpoint. For current planning, use the date on EA’s live event listing and verify it again in game; don’t treat an earlier guide’s schedule as definitive.

Events can use different objectives and reward systems
Deep Six uses contracts and intel devices to advance a collection toward a final reward. Another event can work differently. In its August 14, 2026 Game Update 1.4.2.0 notes, EA described Top Gun Event Challenges that awarded Ace Medals. Players could spend those medals on Top Gun-themed cosmetics in the Event menu.
Ace Medals belong to the Top Gun event example; EA’s Deep Six description does not identify them as part of its reward track. The practical approach is to read each event’s own objective and reward details rather than assume that one event’s currency, menu, or progression rules carry over to another.

Do you need to buy Battlefield 6 to take part?
EA’s Battlefield 6 game offers and disclaimers say the limited-time Season 4 trial requires Battlefield REDSEC and all game updates. The disclaimer also says you must purchase Battlefield 6 afterward to continue playing the full game; trial timing may change. That is the stated condition for continued full-game play, not evidence that every event has identical access requirements. Check the event’s current in-game availability and the applicable platform offer before relying on a trial.
