Yes, Hostinger lets customers renew many active services before they expire. The renewal period is added to the service’s existing expiration date, while the full amount for the selected term is charged upfront. The available terms and renewal price depend on the service and your account, so check Billing → Subscriptions before paying.

How an advance renewal works

Hostinger’s advance-renewal guidance says you can renew an active service before its expiration date. The added period starts at the service’s current expiration date—not the day you pay—and renewals cannot be accumulated beyond the next billing term. Hostinger’s renewal-period guidance explains this rule.

The selected term is charged upfront. A longer term may have a lower average monthly price, but compare the total due and the length of the commitment, not just a monthly equivalent. Any installment option depends on the payment gateway, region, and payment method; check the renewal screen for what is available to you.

Which renewal periods are available?

Hostinger’s published options vary by product and may change. These are the periods listed in its current guidance; your account’s renewal screen is the place to confirm availability for a particular service.

Service Published renewal periods
Hosting 1, 12, 24, or 48 months
Cloud hosting 1, 12, 24, or 48 months
Business email 1, 12, 24, or 48 months
KVM VPS 1, 12, or 24 months
Legacy OpenVZ VPS 1 month
Agency hosting 1 or 12 months
Hostinger Reach 1 or 12 months
Domains At least 1 year; some extensions support 2 or 3 years, subject to registry rules

How to check the renewal price before paying

  1. Sign in to your Hostinger account and open Billing → Subscriptions.
  2. Select the relevant service and review its renewal price and next billing period.
  3. Check the billing details for taxes and fees, then confirm the total due and selected term on the renewal screen before completing payment.

Hostinger says the renewal price shown in Subscriptions excludes taxes. The account billing details also show service status, expiration date, taxes and fees, subscription ID, and next billing period. Use the current renewal amount shown for your account: introductory checkout pricing and renewal pricing are different, and the renewal fee can change. See Hostinger’s renewal instructions and its guide to checking renewal prices.

What auto-renewal changes

Hostinger’s terms say paid services generally renew automatically unless otherwise specified. The renewal period is generally the same as the most recent or initial period, or a shorter period then available. The charge uses the fees in effect at renewal, which may be higher or lower than the amount paid for the previous term. See Hostinger’s Universal Terms of Service Agreement.

Hostinger gives the following as typical automatic charge timing, not a guaranteed schedule. The actual date can vary by service and term. If the renewal date is a day away or less, manual renewal may be needed for that cycle. Hostinger’s auto-renewal guidance covers the timing.

Service or term Typical automatic charge timing
Domain 27 days before expiration
Hosting billed yearly or longer 14 days before expiration
Monthly hosting On the expiration day

How to stop future automatic charges

Turn off auto-renewal in your account’s subscription controls if you do not want the next renewal to be charged automatically. Hostinger says the active service remains available until its expiration date; to keep using it beyond then, you must renew manually before it expires. Check the account’s billing controls and current status in Hostinger’s subscription-management guide.

Extra rules for domain renewals

Domain terms depend on the extension’s registry rules. Although the minimum is one year, some extensions allow two- or three-year renewals. Some TLDs permit manual renewal only during a registry-defined window, so a missing “Renew now” option may mean you need to wait until that window opens. When you renew early, the added term runs from the domain’s original expiration date. Details are in Hostinger’s domain renewal guide.

Hostinger says domain auto-renewal is enabled by default for domains purchased through Hostinger. If you do not want to keep a domain, its guidance recommends turning auto-renewal off at least 27 days before expiration. It also says processed domain renewal payments are non-refundable under its policy. Check the current policy and your account well before the listed charge date; see Hostinger’s domain auto-renewal and refund guidance.

What to compare before choosing a term

  • Total due now: Include applicable taxes and fees rather than relying only on an average monthly figure.
  • Term: Confirm how long the service will be paid through and which periods are offered for that product.
  • Price basis: Compare the current renewal amount with the introductory price you originally paid; they are not necessarily the same.
  • Payment control: Decide whether to keep auto-renewal active, and allow enough time to disable it before the expected charge date.
  • Domain constraints: Check the extension’s renewal window and the applicable refund policy before authorizing a renewal.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
