What was announced
Electric Airship describes HorrorVale as “a traditional RPG adventure game inspired by horror, full of unexpected twists and turns.” The Deadluxe Edition is the announced console release, with Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 listed among its platforms. The same July 10 announcement also covers PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series consoles.

The announcement confirms three broad upgrades over the original game: enhanced visuals, improved performance and new battles. It does not specify resolution, frame-rate targets, loading-time improvements, the number of added battles or whether the new content will also reach the PC version.
Release date and platform status
There is no confirmed launch date as of October 16, 2026. The PlayStation Store listing still says “Release date to be determined,” and no Nintendo launch-day window has been published. An upcoming-games listing identifies the Switch edition as digital.

What kind of game is HorrorVale?
You play as Alice alongside her zombie dog, Scruffy, while investigating monsters that have invaded a previously peaceful town. The setting treats the underworld as an ordinary community: zombies are neighbors, reanimated monsters deliver mail and ghosts hide in bathrooms. That contrast supports the game’s horror-inspired but offbeat tone.

What does “Deadluxe Edition” add?
The announced edition is presented as an enhanced console version rather than a separately detailed sequel. Confirmed additions are improved visuals, better performance and new battles. The publisher has not yet published a complete feature list, technical specifications or a breakdown of the new combat content.
When a full product listing appears, the useful comparison points will be whether the Switch and Switch 2 versions differ, how performance is configured, whether the new battles are integrated into the main campaign, and whether any downloadable content or saved progress carries over from another edition.

Is there a physical Nintendo Switch release?
Nothing currently confirms a cartridge, boxed release or collector’s edition. The available upcoming-games information points to a digital Switch edition, while no official source has announced physical distribution, a soundtrack, an art book or other packaged extras. Treat any physical-product listing as unverified until Electric Airship, Nintendo or a named retailer publishes it.

What to check before buying

- Check whether the listing covers both Switch generations or requires separate purchases.
- Read the final technical details for performance modes, storage size and language support.
- Confirm whether the advertised new battles and any other additions are included in the base game.
- Buy only from a retailer or storefront that clearly identifies the official edition and format.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: HorrorVale: Deadluxe Edition is a confirmed enhanced port for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, with better visuals, performance improvements and new battles. Its launch date, price and physical availability remain unannounced, so the only established Switch format is a future digital release.
