An unnamed Honor wide-format foldable is reportedly in development, with a January launch expected and a rumored 7.6-inch inner screen, 200MP main camera and battery larger than 7,000mAh. Honor has not confirmed the phone or its specifications. January 2027 is a reasonable inference from the report’s October 2026 update date, not a launch year stated by Honor or the report.
What the rumored Honor foldable is

When it could launch and what it might cost
PhoneArena says the foldable is scheduled to launch in January but does not specify a year. Since the report was updated in October 2026, January 2027 is the likely interpretation; it remains an inference, not a confirmed date.
The reported starting price is CNY 9,999, which PhoneArena translates to about $1,470. That price is also a rumor. The report says the new line is expected to replace the Vs lineup price-wise, but does not establish final regional pricing, configurations or when preorders or sales would begin.

How it could compare with the Galaxy Z Fold 8
PhoneArena presents the Honor device as a potential competitor to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Apple’s iPhone Duo. The reported 4:3 inner-screen ratio and display measurements suggest a wide-format design, but a useful product comparison will require confirmed specifications for each phone. Relevant points include unfolded and cover-screen dimensions, chipset, camera setup, battery capacity, price and regional availability. The leak alone does not establish which device would be faster, take better photos or offer better battery life.

Availability and an existing Honor alternative
PhoneArena reports that Honor foldables are not officially sold in the United States and that obtaining one requires logistical effort. It does not establish where the rumored model would be sold, so prospective buyers should not assume US availability—or availability in any particular market.
