Its broad sports tracking and generally close heart-rate and blood-oxygen readings make it useful for fitness, but slower heart-rate response during rapid changes, occasional GPS route deviations, a large case, and a limited app ecosystem keep it from being an all-purpose smartwatch.
What the HONOR Watch 6 offers
The Watch 6 is a sports-and-health-focused smartwatch that pairs with the HONOR Health app on Android and iOS. Notebookcheck lists a 1.46-inch AMOLED display with 464 × 464 resolution, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, a 980 mAh battery, and a 46.5 mm case. Its black version has an aluminum-alloy body and weighs about 41 g without the band; the brown version uses stainless steel for the front case and weighs about 50 g. The size and weight can be noticeable, particularly on a slimmer wrist.

The watch supports more than 120 workout modes and dual-band satellite positioning. It also has a microphone and speaker for Bluetooth calls, but calls depend on a connected phone: the watch has no cellular connection. NFC payments use Fidesmo Pay rather than Google Wallet, and payment availability varies by region. Notebookcheck’s review covers the specifications and features in detail.

HONOR lists up to 17 days of typical use and up to 35 days in Bluetooth Long Battery Life Mode. Notebookcheck’s own test lasted around two weeks. Cadena SER reported three weeks of use from its sample without a recharge, but its experience used a different routine and should not be treated as a typical-use guarantee.

The 35-day figure is a maximum tied to HONOR’s stated scenario, not a prediction for unrestricted smartwatch use. HONOR says the scenario includes smart heart-rate monitoring, scientific sleep tracking at night, 15 minutes per week of Bluetooth calling, 15 minutes per week of music playback, and 60 minutes per week of GPS-enabled exercise. It also assumes 50 messages, six incoming calls, three alarms, and 200 screen activations per day. HONOR attributes this estimate to HONOR Lab; the product page does not state the year of the test. See HONOR’s Watch 6 product page for the mode and usage conditions.
Are its health readings accurate?
Notebookcheck found the Watch 6’s heart-rate and blood-oxygen readings generally close to those from its reference devices. That is encouraging for routine tracking, but the review identified a meaningful limitation: heart-rate readings were slower to respond when the wearer’s heart rate changed quickly. If you rely on immediate feedback during intervals or rapid changes in effort, that lag matters more than it does during steadier exercise.

These results describe one reviewer’s device comparisons, not a guarantee that every reading will match a clinical measurement. The Watch 6 is a consumer fitness tracker, and the evidence here does not establish it as a medical diagnostic device.

How reliable is GPS during workouts?
The dual-band GNSS produced usable routes overall in Notebookcheck’s testing, although the reviewer noted minor inaccuracies and less frequent location recording. Android Central also judged its GPS performance strong overall in a separate multi-watch field comparison, but observed two noticeable deviations under tree cover: the recorded route placed the runner on the road rather than the sidewalk. Those results suggest GPS is practical for general activity tracking, but not perfectly consistent in every environment.

Android Central’s test also compared sleep data surfaced by several watches and found less sleep information presented by the Watch 6 than by the competing devices in that comparison. That is a comparison of the amount of data displayed, not a universal finding about sleep-tracking accuracy. The field-test context is described at Android Central.
What sports features are included?
The 120-plus workout modes cover common exercises as well as more specialized sports. Soccer and badminton have dedicated Pro modes. In soccer mode, the watch records distance, pace, sprint speed, and running paths; the companion app can show heat maps. Notebookcheck cautions that match rules and safety restrictions can make this mode more suitable for training or recreational play than for every competitive match.

What does it lack as a smartwatch?
The Watch 6’s fitness focus comes with a narrower set of general smartwatch features. Notebookcheck lists no Wi-Fi, cellular connectivity, ECG, fall detection, or extensive app store. iPhone users also face additional limitations, although the review does not itemize every platform difference. Bluetooth calls remain possible when a smartphone is connected, but the watch cannot make them independently over a cellular network.
For buyers who mainly want long battery life, workout tracking, and basic phone-connected features, that trade-off may be acceptable. If independent calls, a broad selection of third-party apps, or the listed health and safety features are priorities, the Watch 6’s omissions are more consequential.

Size, price, and availability
The 46.5 mm case is large enough to be a fit concern for smaller wrists; Cadena SER likewise found it large on a smaller wrist. Try the case on if possible, especially if you prefer compact watches or plan to wear it overnight.
Notebookcheck listed a €270 price and a June 18, 2026 release date in its September 25, 2026 review. Those are historical review details, not a current quote for every country. The review’s translator’s note said HONOR listed the watch for purchase in Mexico but had not announced availability in the United States or Canada as of that review; it also listed HONOR and Amazon Germany as purchase channels. Availability and pricing can change, so check local listings before buying. The review is available from Notebookcheck; Cadena SER’s separate hands-on report is at Cadena SER.
Quick Recap
Who should buy the HONOR Watch 6?
- Consider it if long intervals between charges, a large selection of workout modes, and routine health tracking matter more to you than a deep app ecosystem.
- Look more closely at the trade-offs if you depend on responsive heart-rate changes during intense intervals, want especially consistent GPS under tree cover, or need more sleep data in the companion experience.
- Check fit and compatibility first if you have a smaller wrist, use an iPhone, or expect the watch to handle calls without your phone.
