HONOR has published a global MagicOS 11 rollout plan. The open beta is scheduled for September through November 2026, followed by a staged stable release running from October 2026 through March 2027. HONOR Magic7 is included in both lists, but HONOR has not announced a specific update day for any individual model or country.
What HONOR’s global schedule confirms
HONOR announced MagicOS 11 on September 15, 2026, at its Global Developer Conference in China. The company describes the software as adding a system-level Agent Harness that coordinates model reasoning, device sensing, planning, tool calls and execution. The announcement also highlights cross-brand connectivity with iPhone, Mac and iPad.

The published calendar is a set of rollout windows rather than a single worldwide launch event. Regional certification, carrier variants and staged delivery can determine when an eligible device actually receives the update. HONOR directs users to the My HONOR app and regional HONOR announcements for model-specific availability.

The open-beta phase is scheduled to run from September through November 2026. It is intended for selected devices and may arrive before the corresponding stable build. Beta availability can vary by country, firmware version and enrollment capacity.

Being listed for the open beta does not mean every regional version will receive an invitation at the start of September, nor does beta participation guarantee that a stable update will arrive on the same date.
Stable rollout: October 2026–March 2027
The stable global rollout is planned for October 2026 through March 2027. The list is substantially broader than the beta list and includes phones, foldables, tablets and selected Turbo and Play models.

HONOR Magic7 is therefore confirmed on the global stable-eligibility list. The schedule still does not specify whether a particular Magic7 regional variant will update in October, later in the window, or after another market.

HONOR says its Agent Harness can connect perception, reasoning and action so the system can carry out multi-step requests instead of only responding to individual prompts. HONOR cites more than 100 steps for YOYO long-running tasks, support for more than 1,000 life scenarios and access to more than 10,000 third-party AI services. The company reports YOYO monthly active users above 160 million and more than 100 million daily activations; these are HONOR’s own figures, not independent measurements.
HONOR CEO Li Jian characterized the release as a move from single-device intelligence toward coordinated intelligence, combining automatic execution with proactive assistance. HONOR also says the upcoming Magic9 will ship with MagicOS 11 first. That statement concerns the new product’s launch configuration and does not change the retrofit schedule for existing phones.
Global schedule versus HONOR’s China plan
The China community timetable is separate from the global calendar. In China, HONOR opened a stable “tryout” for the first batch on September 15, opened internal-beta recruitment for a second batch and indicated that more devices would be added during October and November.

China participants are directed to Settings > Software update > Upgrade trial. The China guidance recommends at least 10 GB of free internal storage. That is useful preparation for any major system update, but it is not a published guarantee that every global model has the same enrollment process or storage requirement.

How to check your phone’s actual availability
- Open the My HONOR app and look for the device’s software-update or rollout announcement.
- Check HONOR’s regional support page for your country and confirm the exact model designation, rather than relying only on the family name.
- Open the phone’s software updater and review the current firmware version before joining any beta program.
- Back up important data, connect to reliable Wi-Fi and keep at least 10 GB of internal storage free, following HONOR’s China preparation guidance.
- If no update appears, continue checking during the announced window; the public plan does not provide a day-by-day calendar.
Compatibility issues to expect after updating
MagicOS 11 is associated with Android 17 compatibility changes that may affect third-party applications immediately after installation. HONOR’s community FAQ advises updating affected apps and waiting for developers to issue fixes. If an app crashes or loses a feature, install its latest version first, then check the developer’s support information before attempting a factory reset.

What remains unknown
- No individual global release day has been published for Magic7 or any other listed model.
- HONOR has not guaranteed simultaneous delivery across countries, carriers or regional firmware variants.
- The beta and stable lists are not identical, so a device missing from the beta list may still be scheduled for stable MagicOS 11.
- Regional announcements can change the order within the October 2026–March 2027 stable window.
For owners, the practical answer is straightforward: Magic7 is eligible in principle, and the global rollout is official, but the exact push date depends on HONOR’s regional staging. Treat the published months as the authoritative window until a local HONOR notice or My HONOR notification names your device’s release.
