HONOR has officially launched three Magic9 phones in China, while Motorola has only teased a wider foldable. The Magic9 Pro Max, Magic9 and Magic9 Super Edition went on sale in China on September 28, 2026, with starting prices from 4,499 yuan. Motorola has not confirmed a product name, specifications, price or release date for its foldable.
HONOR Magic9 is official in China
HONOR says it held its Magic9 launch event in Beijing on September 28, 2026, and put all three models on sale in China that day. The company’s listed starting prices are for China; the announcement cited here does not establish global launch timing or pricing. HONOR’s announcement is the source for the launch details and product descriptions.

These are HONOR’s descriptions of the phones, not independent test results. The company also describes a Pro Max video workflow using ARRI LogC3 and 87 ARRI Looks. It says the series supports MagicOS 11 and highlights AI and cross-device features; those, too, are manufacturer claims rather than independently verified findings.

HONOR lists two telephoto extenders: the G200, with a 200 mm focal length, and the G500, with a 500 mm focal length. The company also names a photography kit for the Pro Max and a professional video expansion cage developed with SmallRig.

Motorola’s wide foldable is a teaser, not a confirmed launch
Motorola’s September 9 Razr-family social video teased a wider foldable and showed what appeared to be a horizontal camera bar. It did not reveal a firm release date or price, and the contemporaneous report described launch timing as unknown. The name “Razr Wide Fold” is not confirmed as an official product name. The teaser coverage reflects the limited information shown at the time.

A later Android Authority report attributes more detail to leaks, not Motorola specifications. It reports a possible 6.92-inch inner OLED screen, 4.97-inch cover screen, 5,000 mAh battery and 165 Hz refresh rate, as well as an alleged mid-December 2026 target. All remain unconfirmed: Motorola has not established those specifications or a release date in the cited material.
