PlayStation announced the quest on September 13, 2022, describing it as a mystery built into the core game and discoverable by witches and wizards playing on PlayStation. That wording accurately described the launch arrangement, not the current one. A later official Wizarding World update says players on all platforms can now try the quest, while Xbox Wire’s June 6, 2024 update announcement specifically lists the Haunted Hogsmeade Quest among the new content.

What content do all three versions include?
The official PlayStation and Xbox listings describe the same quest benefits. Once the content is available in your copy of Hogwarts Legacy, you receive the quest itself, an additional dungeon, the Shopkeeper’s Cosmetic Set, and an in-game shop in Hogsmeade.

The quest is included after the Summer 2024 update
Xbox owners no longer miss the Hogsmeade content. Xbox Wire’s June 6, 2024 announcement says the update includes the Haunted Hogsmeade Quest, alongside features such as Photo mode, a Talent tree reset, and new cosmetics. The announcement describes the update as free to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One owners.

PC hardware ranges from entry-level laptops to high-end desktops. The platform offers flexibility, but no universal quest-specific result is established. Your components and settings determine the outcome.
