Hisense XR10 vs. Hisense C2 Ultra: Which 4K Projector Is Right for You?

The Hisense XR10 is the better fit on paper if your room needs more rated light output or your installation needs a wider range of optical placement. The C2 Ultra is the less expensive choice in Hisense’s US listings and may be the better value when its brightness and throw range suit your room. The specifications are not a matched independent test, so the right pick depends on your screen, lighting, placement and budget.

XR10 vs. C2 Ultra at a glance

Decision factor Hisense XR10 Hisense C2 Ultra
Rated brightness Up to 6,000 ANSI lumens, per Hisense’s US product listing retrieved October 4, 2026. Hisense XR10 US listing 3,000 ANSI lumens, per Hisense’s US product listing retrieved October 4, 2026. Hisense C2 Ultra US listing

Both are marketed as 4K triple-laser projectors. The figures above come from manufacturer materials, regional documents and a dated US price snapshot; they do not establish which projector produces the better image in a controlled, side-by-side test.

Choose the XR10 if brightness or placement is your constraint

Hisense rates the XR10 at up to 6,000 ANSI lumens, versus 3,000 ANSI lumens for the C2 Ultra. That higher stated output makes the XR10 the more compelling specification-sheet option for a room with ambient light or a larger image. It does not mean it will look exactly twice as bright in your room: screen size, screen gain and surrounding light all affect the result, and the available figures are not comparable independent measurements.

The XR10 also has the wider stated throw-ratio range: 0.84–2.0:1, compared with 0.9–1.5:1 for the C2 Ultra. Hisense’s announcement adds 2.38× optical zoom and lens shift of ±130% vertically and ±46% horizontally. Those capabilities may help when the projector cannot sit in a single ideal position relative to the screen. They do not eliminate the need to confirm the image size and lens position for your installation.

  • 【Angle Adjuster】C2 Ultra offers 360° horizontal rotation, 90° upward, and 45° downward tilt, giving you 135° of vertical adjustability. Built with an all-metal body and seamless joints for stable, precise adjustments.
  • 【Optical Zoom 】C2 Ultra features a 1.67x optical zoom and a wide throw ratio of 0.9–1.5:1, allowing larger screens from shorter distances. Zoom in or out while maintaining full 4K resolution—no distortion, no brightness loss. Ideal for flexible setups in different room sizes without sacrificing image quality.
  • 【4K & 4K Upscaler 】Bring what’s on screen into crystal-clear focus. Its 4K AI Upscaler transforms beloved classics, home movies, broadcast TV and even streaming content into striking 4K quality. It’s amazing what can happen when every pixel works even harder.
  • 【Pure Triple Color Laser 】C2 Ultra uses an advanced triple laser light source that delivers richer colors and deeper detail than traditional LED projectors. With zero harmful blue light, it’s easier on your eyes—perfect for long movie nights or family use. Expect cleaner whites, fuller reds, and a more natural picture overall.

Hisense describes the XR10 as able to project images up to 300 inches in its announcement. Treat that as a manufacturer claim, not a promise that every room, screen or viewing distance will deliver a suitable result.

Choose the C2 Ultra if it fits your room and you value the lower listing price

In the retrieved US listings, the C2 Ultra was displayed at $1,999.99, while the XR10 was displayed at $5,499.99. Those are sale-price snapshots from October 4, 2026, not stable MSRP figures or assurances of today’s offers. If the C2 Ultra’s rated 3,000 ANSI lumens and 0.9–1.5:1 throw ratio meet your room’s needs, the lower listing price makes it the value-oriented option of the two.

Hisense advertises 110% BT.2020 coverage for the C2 Ultra. This is a manufacturer color-gamut claim, not an independent comparison showing that it has more accurate or better-looking color than the XR10. Likewise, the XR10’s listing claim of up to 6,000:1 contrast with iris does not by itself establish a picture-quality winner.

Check your installation before deciding

  1. Measure the screen image you want. Record the target image width and height rather than relying on a maximum-size claim.
  2. Measure the projector-to-screen distance. Compare that distance and image width with the throw-ratio range for the exact regional model. The XR10’s stated range is 0.84–2.0:1; the C2 Ultra’s Australian specification sheet states 0.9–1.5:1.
  3. Check the lens position and adjustment needs. If the projector must sit above, below or off-center from the screen, verify the regional product specifications. Hisense’s XR10 announcement gives its zoom and lens-shift figures; do not assume C2 Ultra specifications from one region apply everywhere.
  4. Assess the room’s light and screen. Ambient light, screen gain and image size affect perceived brightness. Manufacturer lumen ratings alone cannot predict the result in your room.
  5. Confirm the exact model and current offer. Hisense announced the C2 family on October 4, 2024, and the XR10 on May 10, 2026. Product pages and specifications can vary by market, so verify the regional model sheet and live price before ordering. Hisense C2 family announcement · Hisense XR10 announcement

What the available specifications can—and cannot—settle

The specifications favor the XR10 for rated brightness and placement flexibility, while the dated US listing prices favor the C2 Ultra on cost. They do not establish a definitive image-quality winner. A Tom’s Guide review of the XR10 was published August 13, 2026, but the available evidence here does not provide matched independent measurements of both projectors. For claims about actual comparative brightness, color accuracy, contrast or overall picture quality, look for testing that evaluates both models under the same conditions. Tom’s Guide XR10 review
