The best Hisense XR10 alternative depends on the room, not a brightness-number shootout. If you need flexible placement and a very large image, the XR10’s manufacturer-listed optics are unusual; if your projector has a fixed, long-throw position in a dedicated theater, Epson’s EH-LS12000B is a more relevant alternative. Hisense has also announced the PX4-PRO, but the announcement does not establish its retail price or availability.
Compare the alternatives by room fit
| Model | Light output as published | Throw ratio and zoom | Lens shift | Image size | Price and availability context | Source region |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hisense XR10 | 6,000 ANSI lumens (Hisense claim) | 0.84–2.0:1; 2.38× optical zoom | ±130% vertical / ±46% horizontal | 65–300 inches on the US shop listing | Hisense’s US shop displayed $5,499.99 sale / $6,999.99 regular and “Sold out” on 2026-10-04; verify current listing | Specifications: Hisense Finland; shop: US |
| Epson EH-LS12000B | 2,700 lumens (Epson specification) | 1.35–2.84:1; 1–2.1× optical zoom | Powered ±96.3% vertical / ±47.1% horizontal | 50–300 inches | Current local price and availability not stated by the cited Australian specifications page | Australia |
| Hisense PX4-PRO | 3,500 ANSI lumens (Hisense announcement) | Not stated in the cited announcement | Not stated in the cited announcement | Up to 200 inches | Price and retail availability not stated in the cited announcement | Hisense USA, CES 2026 announcement |
These are manufacturer-published specifications, not results from a common independent test. In particular, do not read the XR10’s 6,000 ANSI-lumen claim and Epson’s 2,700-lumen specification as a controlled brightness comparison or a direct picture-quality verdict. The XR10’s 6,000:1 iris contrast and up to 60,000:1 dynamic contrast are also Hisense claims, not comparable independent measurements. Hisense XR10 specifications; Epson EH-LS12000B specifications.

Will the projector fit your room?
Check the screen size and the distance from the projector lens to the screen before comparing processing features. Throw ratio is lens-to-screen distance divided by image width; the ratio is not measured from the back of the projector, and a larger image needs more throw distance at the same ratio. The XR10’s listed 0.84–2.0:1 range reaches shorter placements than Epson’s 1.35–2.84:1 range, while Epson specifies 3.0–6.3 m for a 100-inch 16:9 image. That makes the Epson a candidate for a longer, fixed installation rather than a spec-for-spec XR10 substitute.

Use the actual screen dimensions
- Choose the intended image size and aspect ratio, then measure the image width. For a 16:9 screen, width is the dimension used in the throw-ratio calculation.
- Measure from the planned projector lens position to the screen surface, not from the seating position or projector chassis.
- Divide that lens-to-screen distance by image width and compare the result with the model’s published throw-ratio range. For an Epson 100-inch 16:9 image, use the manufacturer’s stated 3.0–6.3 m distance as a cross-check.
- Check the mounting offset and lens-shift range before fixing a mount. Lens shift can move the image optically; digital keystone correction is not the same thing and can alter the image rather than repositioning the lens.
Hisense says the XR10 can show a 100-inch image from 1.86 m; treat that as the manufacturer’s geometry claim, not a guarantee that every installation will work at that distance. Screen format, lens position, and final image alignment still matter. See the XR10 product specifications.

Which model suits which room?
Choose the XR10 when placement flexibility is the constraint
The XR10 is the option to investigate when a very large image, a shorter-than-traditional throw, or substantial adjustment range is important. Hisense publishes 6,000 ANSI lumens, 2.38× lossless optical zoom, and ±130% vertical / ±46% horizontal shift; its US shop lists 65–300 inches. These are company specifications, not independent verification that the projector will deliver a particular brightness in your room. Its premium positioning is also difficult to assess against alternatives from a single live price: the US listing showed $5,499.99 sale and $6,999.99 regular prices while marked sold out when accessed on 2026-10-04. Check the Hisense US shop listing for current status.
Choose the Epson EH-LS12000B for a long-throw theater layout
Epson’s Australian specification page lists a laser diode, 3LCD projection system, 4K enhancement, HDR10/HDR10+/HLG, powered lens shift, and 1–2.1× optical zoom. Its 1.35–2.84:1 throw ratio and stated 3.0–6.3 m distance for a 100-inch 16:9 image suit a fixed installation with more distance available between projector and screen. Epson lists 2,700 lumens of colour and white light output; that figure should not be used to declare it dimmer in practice than the XR10 without equivalent measurement conditions. The cited page is for Australia, so check the local model name, warranty, stock, and price before buying. Epson EH-LS12000B official specifications.

Treat the PX4-PRO as an announced possibility
Hisense USA’s CES 2026 page announces the PX4-PRO with 4K, 3,500 ANSI lumens, images up to 200 inches, IMAX Enhanced certification, and ultra-low latency. The cited announcement does not establish a price, live retail listing, throw ratio, or lens-shift range. It is therefore not yet possible to assess whether it fills a particular room or budget better than the XR10. Hisense USA CES 2026 projector announcement.

Check these details before you buy
- Room light and screen size: Decide whether you will watch with lights on, and how large the image must be. A larger image spreads the available light over more screen area.
- Lens position: Record lens-to-screen distance and the required vertical and horizontal offset. Confirm the published throw and lens-shift ranges support your exact mount location.
- Optical versus digital adjustment: Prefer a lens and mount position that fit the screen optically instead of relying on digital keystone as a substitute for lens shift.
- Local model and warranty: Match the regional suffix and check warranty terms, included features, local stock, and price. Epson figures cited here are from its Australian product page.
- Inputs and use: Verify the exact HDR formats, gaming input features, and connections you need on the local product specification page; do not infer them from a model-family name.
- Screen and sound: Decide whether the room needs a separate screen and how audio will be handled. The right screen and sound setup depend on the room, and no particular screen model is established by these comparisons.
