Some earlier Hisense software puts the option under Picture > Picture Size. Choose Auto first if it is available, then try another offered ratio only if the image still looks incorrectly framed. The menu labels and choices vary by model, software version, region, and input source.
Change the picture size on your Hisense TV

Press the Settings button on the Hisense remote.

Open Display & Sound > Screen > Picture Size on TVs with the newer menu path. On some earlier software, open Picture > Picture Size.

Select Auto if it appears. If the image is still framed incorrectly, try the available ratio choices one at a time. Keep the setting that displays the full image without unwanted stretching.

Hisense documents these paths and notes that the function may vary with software version; options can also differ by model, country or region, and content or input. If Picture Size is missing, check the manual for your exact model and try again with the affected source playing. Hisense manual: Picture Size and Screen settings
Choose a mode that fits without distorting the picture
Picture Size adjusts the aspect ratio: it can stretch or zoom the image, but the names and combinations offered are not consistent across Hisense TVs. Manuals document choices such as Auto, 4:3, Zoom, 16:9, 21:9, and 32:9 on one version, and combinations including Normal, Wide, Direct, Dot-By-Dot, Panoramic, or Cinema on others. Your TV may not offer every mode on those lists.

Auto: A sensible first choice when available, because it lets the TV use the setting appropriate to the signal.

Stretch-oriented ratios: May fill the panel but change the proportions of people or objects.
Hisense’s manual cautions that choosing a ratio different from the TV transmission or video program can change how the picture looks. When a mode makes the image look unnaturally wide or tall, return to Auto or try another available setting. Hisense manual: aspect-ratio options

If the picture is zoomed in or the edges are cut off
Check Overscan
If the picture’s edges are missing, look for Overscan in the Screen settings, if your model has it. Hisense describes Overscan as slightly cropping image edges, so turning it off or adjusting it may help when the source is being cropped. The control’s availability and behavior vary by model. Check the affected input or device
If the problem appears only in one app or on one connected device, make the TV adjustment while that source is active. Also check the device’s own output or display settings: a mismatch may come from the source rather than the TV, and a TV ratio change will not necessarily correct it.

If the Picture Size option is missing

Confirm that the source you want to fix is currently playing; available TV options may depend on the input.

Check both documented menu locations: Display & Sound > Screen > Picture Size and Picture > Picture Size.
