Hisense HRTF325 Review: Key Specs, Fit and Buying Checks

The Hisense HRTF325 is a 326 L, frost-free top-mount fridge-freezer with a 4.5-star energy rating on Hisense Australia’s specification sheet. Its listed features look substantial for a straightforward refrigerator, but suitability comes down to a crucial fit check: the official white-model sheet and silver-model page give different depths. Public review evidence is also limited, so the specifications support a conditional buying decision rather than a firm verdict on real-world performance or reliability.

What the Hisense HRTF325 offers

Hisense Australia’s 2024 specification describes the white HRTF325 as a top-mount refrigerator/freezer with 326 L total capacity: 253 L for fresh food and 73 L for frozen food. The fridge has two adjustable shelves and one fixed shelf, four door baskets and a full-width Fresh Zone. The freezer has two full-width drawers. Shelves are listed as safe glass, and the fridge has one LED light.

The doors are reversible, which may help with room layout, but check the installation instructions and available swing space before buying. The spec sheet lists recessed handles and an XXL Door Balcony as features of the model family. Hisense describes the Fresh Zone as a colder upper-fridge section intended for meat and fish; that is the manufacturer’s description, not an independently verified temperature-performance result.

Features and omissions

The specification lists an inverter compressor, electronic temperature control, Multi Air Flow and automatic frost-free defrost. Hisense describes Total No Frost as avoiding manual defrosting and Multi Air Flow as helping distribute air around the cabinet. These are manufacturer feature descriptions, not results from independent testing.

#1 Best Overall
WPF-34E compatible replacement thermostat for Hisense refrigerators
  • Wide Compatibility: Compatible with Hisense and other brand refrigerators. Please verify your machine model and part number (e.g., 1806104/WPF-34E) before purchasing. This thermostat is a direct replacement
  • Sensor Probe Installation: If the temperature sensing line is too long, you may coil it up. Do not cut it, as cutting will permanently damage the thermostat. Please keep the original length
  • Flexible Pin Configuration: Thermostat compatibility depends mainly on the number of pins and the probe length, not just the brand or model. If your original part is 2-pin, our 3-pin version can also work. A length difference of approximately 3cm is acceptable
  • Pre-Purchase Recommendation: Please note: 90% of refrigerators that do not shut off do NOT have a faulty thermostat. We recommend having a local after-sales service check the issue before replacing any parts to avoid unnecessary waste
  • Problem Resolution: Effectively solves common thermostat-related issues: no cooling, overcooling, compressor running continuously or not running at all, unstable temperature, and frequent cycling. Easy to install. Please check the pin and probe specifications before purchasing

The same sheet lists no electronic display, Wi-Fi, water dispenser or open-door alarm. It does not list a freezer light. If any of those functions matter to you, confirm the exact variant’s specification rather than assuming they are included.

Energy use and noise: what the labels say

Hisense’s Australian specification gives three distinct energy figures for the white HRTF325: CEC 256 kWh/y, PAEC 240 kWh/y and a 4.5-star rating. It also lists a noise level of 38 dB(A). These are manufacturer specification or label values, not a promise of household consumption or a measurement made for this review. Actual electricity use depends on factors such as room temperature, settings, installation and how often the doors are opened.

To estimate running cost, use the energy figure and tariff relevant to your circumstances, and keep the CEC and PAEC figures distinct when checking the product label or comparing refrigerators. A star rating alone cannot establish which model will cost less to run in your home.

Dimensions: check the exact finish and suffix

Fit is the most important specification to verify before purchase. Hisense’s white HRTF325 sheet lists net dimensions of 595 × 1696 × 650 mm (W × H × D). Its Australian silver HRTF325S page lists 595 × 1696 × 690 mm. Both are shown as 326 L, but the available product information does not explain the 40 mm depth difference. Do not assume the white figure applies to the silver model, or vice versa.

Variant Listed dimensions (W × H × D) Clearance guidance Source
White HRTF325 595 × 1696 × 650 mm net 50 mm at sides, 50 mm at back, 100 mm above Hisense Australia specification sheet
Silver HRTF325S 595 × 1696 × 690 mm Check the current model-specific installation sheet Hisense Australia product page

Before ordering, check the model suffix on the listing and confirm dimensions and clearance requirements against the latest manual for that exact variant. Measure the space with the required ventilation gaps, and check the route in—doorways, hall turns and stairs—as well as the final position. A fridge that fits the alcove may still be difficult to deliver or may not have enough room for its doors to open.

What public reviews establish—and what they do not

Consumer NZ’s model listing, updated in September 2026, labels the HRTF325 discontinued in its market. The page gates the overall score and recommendation, and the accessible listing does not show test results or pros and cons. That status should not be generalized to Australia or other markets; it is not enough to establish current availability everywhere.

The Good Guys’ white HRTF325 listing showed 4.5/5 from 63 reviews, with 92% recommending it in a retailer snapshot accessed in 2026. Its AI-generated summary mentions storage and quiet operation, alongside reports of delivery dents or finish issues and customer interest in features such as a freezer light or door alarm. These figures and comments reflect retailer-hosted customer feedback, not controlled comparative testing; AI summaries can contain errors, and review populations may include incentives.

The silver HRTF325S listing is a separate pool of feedback: The Good Guys showed 4.5/5 from 51 reviews and 84% recommending it in its 2026 snapshot. Its summary also mentions storage and quiet operation, as well as delivery damage and follow-up complaints. Do not combine these results with the white model’s ratings or treat either set as an independent performance test.

Availability and price depend on market and date

At the time of the cited Australian page snapshot, Hisense displayed the silver HRTF325S at A$799 including GST and marked it in stock; shipping options depended on postcode. This is a changeable listing, not a guaranteed current price or stock position. The Good Guys’ white-model A$598 promotion ended on 13 September 2026 and is historical, not a live offer. Consumer NZ listed NZ$879 while identifying the model as discontinued in New Zealand. Those figures come from different markets, retailers and dates, so they are not a like-for-like price comparison.

Check current stock, the exact finish and model code, delivery charges, warranty and local service arrangements before committing. Hisense’s white-model sheet states a three-year warranty; verify that the terms apply to the specific unit and market you are buying in.

Installation and safety

The Hisense manual covers HRTF325, HRTF325B and HRTF325S and identifies R600a refrigerant, which is flammable. Keep ventilation openings clear and do not damage the refrigerant circuit. Hisense says service that requires removing covers should be carried out by an authorized service person; follow the manual for the exact model and local market.

The manual advises waiting at least four hours after unpacking before connecting the refrigerator, so compressor oil can flow back. Follow the current manual supplied with the appliance if its instructions differ.

Verdict: a promising specification, with fit and evidence caveats

On paper, the HRTF325 combines 326 L of storage, frost-free operation, an inverter compressor and a 4.5-star listed energy rating in a conventional top-mount design. It may suit shoppers who want those features without a display, Wi-Fi, water dispenser or door alarm. The variant-specific depth discrepancy means a space check is essential, and the available public evidence does not support a confident claim about comparative cooling performance or long-term reliability. Treat it as a candidate, then decide using the exact model’s installation details, current local offer and warranty.
