The Hisense HCF8I1215HB is an Australian-market all-in-one washer dryer with a 12kg washing capacity and an 8kg heat-pump drying capacity. Its appeal is the ability to wash and dry in one appliance, with a large wash capacity, Wi-Fi and auto dosing. The main trade-off is that a full 12kg wash cannot be dried as a single full-capacity load. Public specifications and energy labels are available, but CHOICE’s detailed performance results are restricted to members, so there is not enough public evidence to call its washing or drying performance independently proven.
What the HCF8I1215HB is—and which market these specifications cover
Hisense Australia identifies the HCF8I1215HB as its 2025 Series 8i heat-pump combo washer dryer. This review uses Australian specifications; prices, ratings and warranty terms may differ elsewhere. Hisense New Zealand cautions that “Specifications vary from country to country (even though products may have the same model number).”

Will its capacity work for your household?
12kg washing is not 12kg wash-and-dry
The washer can take a stated 12kg load, but the dryer capacity is 8kg. If you wash more than 8kg, you will need to remove some laundry before drying or split the load. That interrupts the convenience of a continuous wash-to-dry cycle, particularly for households that routinely wash large loads.
#1 Best Overall
Who is most likely to benefit
- Consider it if you want one appliance rather than separate machines, have room for its listed footprint, and usually wash loads that can be dried within the 8kg limit.
- Think carefully if you often wash close to 12kg and expect to dry everything without handling the load, or if you need to compare independently measured cycle times and performance before buying.
- Check alternatives against both capacities, complete wash-and-dry cycle duration, energy and water use, installation requirements, program range, warranty and current price—not wash capacity alone.
Heat-pump drying, energy labels and what they establish
Hisense describes the appliance as using heat-pump drying. For the Australian model, CHOICE’s publicly visible page lists five-star washer energy and water ratings, an eight-star dryer energy rating, a 300 kWh/year washer energy label, a 135 kWh/year dryer energy label, 86L wash water and 1L dryer water. These are label figures shown by CHOICE, not a promise that every household or complete wash-and-dry cycle will use those amounts. Real use depends on loads and selected settings.
Star ratings and label values help with comparisons, but they do not show how well this particular machine removes dirt, rinses, treats fabrics or dries a real load. CHOICE says it tested the model in 2026, but its expert rating and detailed test results are not publicly visible on the page reviewed. Those results cannot be used here to claim that the machine performs well or poorly.
Convenience features: manufacturer claims, not verified outcomes
Hisense lists auto dosing, a flexible detergent dispenser, Wi-Fi and app controls, energy monitoring, a colour screen, and a quick wash-and-dry option. It advertises the quick mode as completing a 1kg load in 49 minutes. Treat that duration as a manufacturer-stated mode claim, not evidence that a larger or different load will finish in that time.

- ✅Easy to Remove: Allow users to take it out quickly for cleaning without tools
- ✅Easy to Clean: Can be rinsed under running water or washed with mild detergent
- ✅Adequate Capacity: Hold a sufficient amount of collected waste to reduce frequent emptying
The company says the auto-dose reservoir can cover up to 26 washes, based on its stated 5kg, medium-soil assumption. The number of washes will vary with load size, soil level and settings. Hisense also advertises 99.9% bacteria reduction on Allergy Steam mode, attributing the result to SGS testing against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli; it says individual results vary. That claim is specific to those organisms and the named mode, and should not be taken as a result for all bacteria, all laundry or ordinary cycles.
Price and publicly available independent evidence
At the time its Australian product page was accessed in 2026, Hisense listed the appliance at $2,499 AUD including GST. That is a volatile advertised price; check the live listing before buying. CHOICE’s public page displays the same price, but its detailed rating and performance scores are member-only.
CHOICE publicly lists a tested capacity of 3.5kg as well as the 12kg wash and 8kg dry specifications. The available public information does not establish the reason for that tested-capacity figure or provide the full test protocol, so it should not be substituted for either rated capacity. Nor does the public page expose wash or dry performance scores, dirt removal, rinse, gentleness, cycle duration or noise results.

- Mega & Ultra-Large Capacity for Bigger Loads This WashTower combines a 5.0 cu. ft. front-load washer and a 7.8 cu. ft. electric ventless heat pump dryer in a stacked design, letting you wash and dry larger loads — like comforters, towels, or family laundry — in fewer cycles.
- Space-Saving Single Unit Vertical Design with Center Control The vertical single-unit design takes up roughly half the floor space compared to traditional side-by-side units, while the Center Control panel places both washer and dryer controls at a comfortable, reachable height for easy operation.
- Advanced Washing Power with AI and TurboWash 360° Built-in intelligence uses AI fabric sensors to automatically detect load size and fabric textures, then choose optimal wash cycles. TurboWash 360° technology with multiple spray jets delivers thorough cleaning quickly, while additional options like AI DD, Steam, Extra Rinse, and Prewash enhance performance.
- Efficient Heat Pump Ventless Drying & Auto Cleaning System The Dual Inverter HeatPump ventless dryer dries clothes at lower temperatures using less energy and offers flexible installation without wall vents. Installation, care and troubleshooting
Before arranging delivery or installation, check the exact model’s requirements and whether it will fit the intended space. The Australian dimensions listed by Hisense are 845 × 595 × 600 mm (H × W × D); CHOICE lists 85 × 60 × 63 cm. Those figures do not replace the manufacturer’s installation instructions or confirm the clearances and connections needed in your home.

Follow the documentation for the appliance and region you have; do not assume that identical model numbers guarantee identical local specifications.
Verdict: a capacity-rich combo, with an evidence gap on performance
The HCF8I1215HB’s clearest strengths on paper are its 12kg washing capacity, heat-pump drying, 8kg dryer capacity, and convenience features in one unit. It makes the most sense for buyers who value a single appliance and whose usual loads fit the smaller drying limit. Buyers who need confidence about cleaning, drying time, noise or whole-cycle resource use should obtain the relevant independent test results or compare alternatives with publicly available measured results before deciding.
