Hisense 75Q6QAU Review: What to Know Before Buying

The Hisense 75Q6QAU is a 75-inch Australian-market 2025 4K QLED television with a native 60 Hz panel, VIDAA U8.5 and basic current-generation gaming features such as VRR and ALLM. Its appeal is a large screen with Dolby Vision support; its main caveat is that “Motion Rate 120” does not mean 120 Hz gaming. Available evidence here does not establish independent picture or sound performance, so judge it by the specifications, fit and current local price rather than assuming the feature labels guarantee results.

What is the Hisense 75Q6QAU?

This is the 75-inch Australian-market model in Hisense’s 2025 Q6QAU range. Hisense describes it as a 4K QLED smart TV. Its panel resolution is 3840 × 2160, with a direct LED backlight. It is an LED television, not an OLED or Mini-LED model. Hisense Australia’s product page and the 75Q6QAU specification sheet list HDR10, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support. The specification sheet gives brightness as “350” without identifying the units in the extracted row, so that figure should not be treated as a verified brightness measurement in nits.

Does the 75Q6QAU have a 120 Hz screen?

No. Hisense’s specification lists a native refresh rate of 60 Hz. The same material uses “Smooth Motion Rate 120” and promotes AI Smooth Motion, but those labels do not change the panel’s native refresh rate or establish that it accepts a 120 Hz game signal. For films and ordinary television viewing, the distinction may not matter; it does matter if you specifically want 120 Hz output for fast-motion gaming or sports.

How well is it equipped for PS5, Xbox and PC gaming?

Hisense lists Game Mode Plus with variable refresh rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM). The specification identifies three HDMI 2.0 inputs; HDMI 3 also supports eARC. The published information does not establish HDMI 2.1 or 4K/120 input support. VRR and ALLM can be useful with compatible devices, but they are not substitutes for a native 120 Hz panel if that is a requirement.

What picture and sound features does Hisense list?

The supported HDR formats are HDR10, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. Hisense also promotes an AI 4K upscaler and AI Smooth Motion. These are manufacturer-listed capabilities, not independent evidence of how bright HDR looks, how accurately the TV reproduces colour, or how effectively motion processing works. No accessible independent measurements establish contrast, viewing angles, reflection handling or HDR impact for this model.

For audio, Hisense lists Dolby Atmos and two 15 W speakers. Those specifications do not establish perceived sound quality or immersive Atmos performance. HDMI 3’s eARC connection provides a route to a compatible soundbar or receiver if you want to use an external audio system.

Is the Hisense 75Q6QAU worth buying?

It may suit someone seeking a large 4K television with QLED branding, Dolby Vision support, VIDAA streaming features and 60 Hz gaming capabilities. It is a weaker fit for buyers whose priority is 4K/120 gaming or for anyone who needs independently verified picture performance before deciding. Compare the current Australian price, stock, delivery and warranty terms with other televisions available when you shop; the supplied specifications alone do not support a value ranking.

CHOICE has a listing for the Hisense 75Q6QAU with some specifications and identifies the model as discontinued. Its test results and recommendations are members-only, so the public listing does not provide a performance score that can settle the buying decision. Hisense’s product page lists a three-year warranty; confirm the terms applicable to your purchase. Its surfaced listing showed $1,499 and “Out of stock,” but those are volatile listing details, not a current market price or proof that the model is unavailable at every Australian retailer.
