The 2026 U.S. 65-inch Hisense U7 is the 65U7SG. It is not verified to have 3,000 local-dimming zones: RTINGS reports 960 for this size. The “Game Booster 330 VRR” name also does not mean 330Hz at 4K; RTINGS reports a maximum of 165Hz at 4K and 330Hz at 1080p.

Which 65-inch Hisense U7 is this?

The matching product is the 2026 U.S. 65U7SG, a Mini-LED ULED 4K Google TV, according to Hisense USA’s support page and its 2026 U7SG specification sheet. The model suffix matters: “U7” is a family name used across years and markets, not one set of specifications.

For example, the UK-market 65U7NQTUK is a different regional model. Hisense lists 300+ local-dimming zones and 144Hz VRR for it. Those specifications should not be substituted for the U.S. 65U7SG’s figures. An older 2023 Indonesia catalogue likewise describes a different U7 generation; its zone and gaming claims do not establish the 2026 model’s capabilities.

Does the 65-inch U7 really have 3,000 dimming zones?

Not according to the size-specific figure in RTINGS’ 2026 U7SG review: RTINGS reports 960 local-dimming zones for the 65-inch 65U7SG. Best Buy’s listing describes the series as having “up to 3,000 local dimming zones,” but that is a lineup-level maximum, not confirmation that the 65-inch model has that count.

Zone count varies by screen size in RTINGS’ review:

U7SG size Local-dimming zones reported by RTINGS
65 inches 960
75 inches 1,100
85 inches 1,536
100 inches 2,304
116 inches 3,168

The distinction is practical: a product-family headline or listing can quote a maximum that belongs to a larger size. For a purchase decision, match the zone count to the exact screen size and suffix rather than treating “up to” as the 65-inch specification.

What does “Game Booster 330 VRR” mean?

“Game Booster 330 VRR” is Hisense’s feature name on the 2026 U7SG specification sheet. RTINGS reports that the panel is native 165Hz, with maximum refresh rates of 165Hz at 4K or 330Hz at 1080p. So 330Hz is associated with the lower 1080p resolution; it is not a 330Hz 4K mode.

RTINGS also reports variable refresh rate support and HDMI 2.1 bandwidth on all four inputs. That is relevant for compatible game consoles and PCs, but the full benefit depends on the connected device, output resolution, refresh rate, and game. Check the console or graphics hardware’s supported output modes before assuming it can use every combination the TV offers.

Does the specification prove crisp picture quality or good value?

No. Zone count, resolution, and refresh-rate figures describe capabilities, but they do not by themselves establish perceived sharpness, HDR impact, blooming, reflection handling, or whether the TV is a bargain. RTINGS’ review provides independent testing of the U7SG; its results should be read as that reviewer’s measurements and observations, not as a guarantee for every room or viewing setup.

The source material does not establish a durable price or value verdict for the 65U7SG. Prices and availability vary by retailer and market, so compare the current local price with alternatives of the same size and generation. For a meaningful comparison, check exact model and region, size-specific zone count, refresh rate at the resolution you will use, VRR and HDMI inputs, measured brightness and reflection performance, and warranty terms.

What to check before buying

  • Confirm the complete model number is 65U7SG if you are evaluating the 2026 U.S. model.
  • Read “up to 3,000 zones” as a series-level listing claim, not the verified 65-inch count; RTINGS reports 960 zones for that size.
  • For gaming, distinguish 165Hz at 4K from 330Hz at 1080p and confirm your device supports the desired output.
  • Compare current local pricing and warranty coverage rather than relying on a general “without breaking the bank” claim.
