Hisense Australia identifies the 65Q6QAU as a 2025 Q6QAU-series QLED model. The Australian suffix matters: specifications and app availability can differ for similarly named Hisense TVs sold in other markets. The manufacturer’s Australian product page and official specification sheet establish its advertised features and dimensions, not independent measurements of picture or sound performance.

Panel and HDR formats
The specification sheet lists a 3840 × 2160 resolution, Direct LED backlighting, quantum-dot support and an 8-bit + FRC panel. Its native refresh rate is 60 Hz. Hisense separately lists a “120 Smooth Motion Rate”; that marketing figure should not be confused with a native 120 Hz panel.

How it fits streaming and everyday TV
The 65Q6QAU runs VIDAA U8.5 and includes Freeview Plus and DVB-T/DVB-T2 digital tuning. Hisense names Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, Disney+, Kayo, Foxtel and Stan among the available apps, but also notes that app availability may vary. Check the services you rely on in the Australian listing and on the TV’s platform before buying; a listed app is not a guarantee of future availability.
The TV supports Dolby Atmos and has listed audio output of 2 × 10 W. Those specifications establish format support and rated output, not immersive sound quality. If you plan to use a soundbar, HDMI 3 is the listed eARC connection.

Gaming: VRR and ALLM, with a 60 Hz ceiling
The specification sheet lists three HDMI 2.0 inputs. HDMI 1 and 2 support VRR and ALLM; HDMI 3 also supports both and is the eARC port. VRR can match display refresh to a compatible source, while ALLM can switch to a low-latency mode, but neither feature changes the panel’s native 60 Hz refresh rate. This is not a TV to buy for native 4K at 120 frames per second.

Before ordering, compare the TV’s dimensions with your stand, wall space and cable clearance. Hisense lists the following measurements:

The mounting pattern is 300 × 400 mm VESA. Match that pattern to the wall mount, check the mount’s load rating against the TV’s weight, and make sure the wall substrate and installation are suitable.

Price, stock and warranty in Australia
Hisense Australia’s captured product listing displayed A$1,099 including GST and an “Out of stock” notice. CHOICE also shows A$1,099 and labels the model discontinued. Those are time-sensitive listing and status observations, not confirmation of a current price or stock at every retailer. Confirm the seller’s current price, delivery, returns, warranty terms and stock before purchase.
