The Australian 2025 Hisense 43Q6QAU is a 43-inch 4K QLED TV with a native 60 Hz panel, three HDMI 2.0 inputs and VIDAA U8.5. Its published specifications make it a candidate for everyday streaming and 60 Hz gaming, but they do not establish how bright, accurate or responsive it is in practice. CHOICE lists the exact model, but its public page withholds the expert rating and test results.
What is the Hisense 43Q6QAU?
Hisense Australia identifies the 43Q6QAU as the 43-inch version of its Q6QAU range and lists the model year as 2025. The specification sheet describes a 3840 × 2160 Direct LED display with Quantum Dot and an 8-bit + FRC panel. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent assessments of picture quality. See the Hisense Australia product page and the 43Q6QAU specification sheet.

How good is its picture?
There are no public independent picture measurements for this exact model in the material available here, so its real-world brightness, contrast, colour accuracy, viewing angles and screen uniformity cannot be rated from specifications alone. Hisense lists brightness as 300, but the sheet does not provide independent test conditions or clarify the measure sufficiently to treat it as a measured result.
The sheet names Dolby Vision and HDR10 support. Format compatibility means the TV can accept content in those formats; it does not show how effectively the screen renders HDR highlights or dark detail. Hisense’s product page markets “vibrant QLED colour” and “Dolby Vision™ visuals,” but those are manufacturer claims rather than test findings.
#1 Best Overall
- HI-QLED COLOR: Experience a visual treat with Hi-QLED Color. Every frame is rich, vibrant, and true-to-life, ensuring that every shade, from soft pastels to bold and striking tones, stands out in stunning clarity
- TOTAL HDR SOLUTION: See every basket and goal in all its glory. Total HDR Solution distinguishes between the colors you perceive on screen. That means ink-black blacks, not muddled tones and brighter, more vibrant colors with every HDR format, including Dolby Vision, HDR 10+Adaptive, HDR 10 and HLG
- DOLBY VISION AND DOLBY ATMOS: The fusion of Dolby Vision HDR imaging and Dolby Atmos sound transforms your TV into an entertainment powerhouse. These image and sound technologies from the cinema, now brought together for the home, provide amazing realism that you’ll see, hear, and feel like never before
- FIRE TV: Fire TV seamlessly integrates your favorite live channels and apps on the home screen, or you can browse the Channel Guide in Live
- PRESS & ASK | ALEXA: Just press and ask Alexa to find, launch, and control your content. Go beyond streaming to check sports scores, set timers, reminders, and more
Is the 60 Hz panel suitable for gaming?
The native refresh rate is 60 Hz. Hisense separately advertises “120 Smooth Motion Rate” and AI Smooth Motion; those labels do not make this a native 120 Hz panel. If you want a TV for high-frame-rate console or PC gaming, check that requirement carefully before buying.
The specification sheet lists three HDMI 2.0 inputs, each with VRR and ALLM; HDMI 3 also supports eARC. It does not list HDMI 2.1. These features describe supported connections, not measured input lag or gaming image quality.

What connections and audio does it have?
| Feature | Published specification |
|---|---|
| HDMI | Three HDMI 2.0 inputs; VRR and ALLM listed for all three; eARC on HDMI 3 |
| USB | Two USB 2.0 ports |
| Other wired connections | Ethernet, headphone output and composite AV input |
| Wireless | 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 |
| Built-in speakers | Two 8 W speakers; Dolby Atmos support listed |
Dolby Atmos support is a format claim, not evidence that the built-in speakers produce immersive sound. If you plan to connect a soundbar, HDMI 3 is the listed eARC port.
Which streaming apps and smart features are listed?
The TV runs VIDAA U8.5. Hisense’s product page names Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, Stan, Apple TV+ and Prime Video, and also lists Freeview, AirPlay 2, voice control and Matter-related smart-home functions. App availability and feature behaviour can vary by country, firmware and date; confirm that the services and functions you need are supported in Australia before purchase.

What do reviews and prices establish?
CHOICE’s exact-model review page provides basic public specifications but restricts its Expert Rating and test results to members. Its public page therefore does not support a measured verdict on picture quality, sound or value against tested alternatives.

It may suit a buyer seeking a 43-inch 4K TV with Quantum Dot, Dolby Vision support, familiar streaming apps and 60 Hz gaming features. It is a less obvious fit if you require a native 120 Hz panel, HDMI 2.1, or independently verified HDR performance. Before comparing it with alternatives, check native refresh rate, the exact HDMI features you need, local app support, stand footprint, warranty conditions and current price. The available public evidence describes the feature set, but does not establish how its measured performance compares with other TVs.
