For ranged play, build critical chance before critical damage multipliers; for early melee, prioritize Divine Immunity and Onrush before developing critical-hit skills. These are adaptable late-game recommendations for version 1.4.18, not a universal ranking or official developer build.
Choose a build around your weapon style
Pocket Gamer’s guide, updated October 5, 2026 for version 1.4.18, presents separate ranged and melee progressions. It says the paths and gear differ by weapon setup, and that players can adjust nodes to suit their choices. The recommendations below reflect that guide’s advice; they are not independently tested results.

| Build | Priority | Equipment examples |
|---|---|---|
| Ranged | Critical chance, then critical damage; later add health and defense, movement speed, and magic. | Carapean set; Compound Bow. |
| Melee | Early survival and farming tempo, then critical-hit development. | Carapean set; Daemon Dagger, Enchanted Shield, or Enchanted Sword. |
Ranged build: establish critical chance first
Skill priorities
- With one Dark Tree point: choose Ferocious Hunger.
- As you progress: build critical chance before investing heavily in critical damage. Pocket Gamer places Man of Focus around level 50, then Weak Spot Hunt, and Berserker Soul after that. Its sequencing reflects the value of having enough critical chance before adding a multiplier.
- Later investment: the guide recommends health and defense, movement speed, and magic alongside the damage-focused path. Treat these as adjustments to fit your needs rather than a fixed order for every player.
Gear sources
- Carapean set: available from Barnaba’s Shop at Deamon Market or as a Deamon Mercenary reward.
- Compound Bow: available from Inventor’s Shop at Inventor’s Atelier.
These are progression targets, not a requirement to delay using a suitable weapon until every named item is available.

Skill priorities
- With limited Dark Tree points: Pocket Gamer recommends Ferocious Hunger.
- Early main-tree choices: prioritize Divine Immunity and Onrush, then develop Crit Master and critical-hit skills. Community-wiki documentation describes Divine Immunity as increasing total defense, including item stats, and Onrush as allowing charge attacks during enemy-search time. Pocket Gamer uses these effects to explain its melee recommendations.
- Combat: the community Skills page describes Combat as increasing melee weapon damage and attack speed. The guide characterizes melee as more viable after a block-mechanic rework; that is the guide’s assessment, not an official balance statement.
Gear sources
- Carapean set: Barnaba’s Shop at Deamon Market or a Deamon Mercenary reward.
- Daemon Dagger: Barnaba’s Shop.
- Enchanted Shield: dropped by Monstrous Skeleton at Graveyard.
- Enchanted Sword: dropped by Necromancer in Shadow Temple.
Skill-tree mechanics to check before spending points
Reset availability
The community FAQ says one skill-tree reset becomes available at level 15. It says to open the skill-tree screen and click the hero’s face to activate it. Because the community wiki’s full page could not be checked, confirm the option in your live game before relying on that exact path; do not assume resets are unlimited.

Training points
The same FAQ says each hit on an enemy grants one training point to the weapon being used, while “+1 training” makes that two points per hit. This is community documentation, so check the live skill description if the wording or effect differs in your version.
Crit Master prerequisite
The community FAQ says the relevant weapon skill must be at least level 50 and the matching weapon must be equipped for Crit Master. The Skills page also describes automatic critical hits at weapon skill 50 or higher. These details come from community-wiki search text rather than a fully accessible page, so verify the prerequisite and effect in-game.

How to choose between the examples
- Prefer ranged weapons? Follow the ranged critical-chance sequence and pursue the bow and set when their sources are accessible.
- Want a melee route? The guide’s early priorities emphasize defense and charge-based tempo before critical development.
- Short on points or gear? Use the examples as priorities, not a checklist that must be completed in order. Pocket Gamer explicitly allows changing nodes, and the sources do not establish one build as best for every player.
The gear names are in-game items and sources, not external equipment recommendations. The game is listed for iOS, Android, and Steam; the cited guide does not establish a physical edition or any outside item needed for these builds.
