Retailer and manufacturer pages offer limited anecdotal feedback rather than a controlled comparison. Temple & Webster’s indexed listing showed a 4.7 rating from 38 reviews, but buyers’ comments conflict: some praise firmness or comfort, while others say the pillow is too high or not supportive enough. Jaspa Herington’s separate gusseted listing showed four customer reviews, too small a set to establish comparative performance. Ratings and stock can change; individual experiences are not a dependable prediction of how a pillow will suit you.
Is it too high for side sleeping?
There is no public comparative test result here that answers this for every sleeper. The Temple & Webster Side Sleeper listing calls its product a side-sleeper pillow and gives a height of 20 cm, but that is the seller’s description and listed measurement—not evidence that its height will suit your body, mattress, or preferred sleeping position. The same listing includes complaints that it felt too high, as well as positive comments.

If height is a concern, use the exact model’s stated dimensions and look for a return policy that lets you assess fit at home. Do not assume that a non-gusseted, gusseted, or differently filled version will feel the same simply because the product name is similar.
How do the gusseted and non-gusseted versions differ?
Jaspa Herington lists the High & Firm Non Gusseted and a separate gusseted High & Firm. The available product information establishes that these are distinct constructions, but does not provide enough comparable detail to say how much loft, support, or comfort differs between them. The gusseted listing’s small number of customer reviews is not a reliable basis for declaring one version better or more suitable for a particular sleep position.

When comparing the two manufacturer listings, check their current dimensions, filling details, care directions, warranty terms, and the exact variant name.
