If the update is not offered, that does not by itself indicate a fault; Samsung’s staged, carrier-dependent distribution can delay availability.

Some functions depend on other hardware. For example, antioxidant measurements are tied to Samsung’s Galaxy Watch8 and Galaxy Watch Ultra, so the A34 itself does not create that measurement without a compatible watch.
Security updates and remaining support
Galaxy A34 5G is in Samsung’s quarterly security-update group. Samsung describes these packages as a combination of Google Android patches and Samsung-specific fixes, so a security-update date is not simply an Android version label.

Samsung’s 2023 launch commitment was up to four generations of operating-system updates and five years of security updates. “Up to” matters: the exact number and timing delivered to a particular handset can depend on its market and variant. The June 2026 firmware is therefore both a major operating-system release and part of the phone’s ongoing quarterly security support.
Storage, display and battery context
The A34 5G’s hardware helps explain why the software additions remain useful on an older mid-range model. Samsung lists a 6.6-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, 6 GB RAM with 128 GB storage or 8 GB RAM with 256 GB storage depending on market, expandable storage up to 1 TB with an optional microSD card, and a 5,000 mAh typical battery.
