Compare the complete cost of the tools you need, including batteries and chargers, rather than deciding from one battery price. A lower-priced battery matters most when the tools you plan to buy use the same platform and meet your needs.
Check the battery platform before switching
How-To Geek reports that Hercules batteries are not compatible with Bauer tools. If you already own batteries, verify compatibility with the exact tools you intend to buy instead of assuming that batteries work across brands or product lines.
