The Helix Midnight Elite is a 15-inch hybrid Helix classifies as medium (5–6/10), designed for side sleepers. Independent testing by RTINGS describes its feel as medium-plush and notably conforming, with strong side-sleeping pressure-relief results. That cushioning may appeal if you like to sink into a mattress; if you prefer a firmer, less enveloping feel, it may not. Helix displayed a Queen price of $2,998 when its product page was checked on October 7, 2026, but prices and promotions change.
What the Helix Midnight Elite feels like
There is a useful distinction between Helix’s “medium” label and RTINGS’ “medium-plush” description. Helix classifies the mattress at 5–6/10; RTINGS’ assessment of its tested Queen unit emphasizes substantial body conformity and an enveloping feel. Firmness labels are not standardized across brands and reviewers, so treat these as different descriptions rather than directly interchangeable measurements. Helix’s mattress selector and RTINGS’ review explain their respective assessments.

That combination is most promising for side sleepers who want cushioning and close contouring. RTINGS reports particularly strong pressure-relief performance for side sleeping, but it also cautions that average- or heavier-weight sleepers who dislike an enveloping mattress may prefer a somewhat firmer option. Comfort varies from person to person; these ratings cannot promise an individual outcome or pain relief.
What is inside the mattress
Helix describes the Elite as a 15-inch hybrid with a thicker quilted foam pillow top, two microcoil comfort layers, SupremeSupport 7.0 memory foam, and a pocket-coil support system. The company also lists a GlacioTex Elite cooling cover and an ErgoAlign contour layer as included features. These are the manufacturer’s construction descriptions, not independent verification of the materials. See Helix’s product page for its current specifications.

Helix describes the GlacioTex Elite cover as heat-conductive and cool to the touch. It also offers CoolForce as an optional layer; it is not listed as a standard included feature. Helix says a temperature comparison comes from third-party testing of the mattress with and without CoolForce, but the underlying report and method are not established here. RTINGS gives cooling a 7.4 score under its own test method, which is a separate assessment rather than confirmation of Helix’s temperature claim.
How it scored in independent testing
RTINGS reviewed a Queen unit and published these scores in its review dated July 30, 2026. They are ratings from RTINGS’ methodology, not population statistics or guarantees of performance in every bedroom.

| Category | RTINGS score |
|---|---|
| Overall | 8.7 |
| Side sleeping | 8.9 |
| Back sleeping | 7.4 |
| Stomach sleeping | 7.4 |
| Pressure relief | 8.9 |
| Cooling | 7.4 |
| Motion dissipation | 7.7 |
| Longevity | 7.0 |
The pattern favors side sleeping and pressure relief over back- and stomach-sleeping scores. A 7.0 longevity score is not a lifespan estimate; RTINGS’ rating should not be interpreted as a promise about how many years a specific mattress will last.

Its page listed free shipping in the contiguous United States and shipping charges for Alaska, Hawaii, and Canada. Helix says Elite mattresses ship in two boxes and are made to order and assembled and shipped from its Arizona factory. These are Helix’s stated terms and logistics; confirm current details and any seller-specific conditions before purchase.
Check your bed base before delivery
Helix calls for firm, flat support and says slats should be no more than 3.5 inches apart. The company warns that wider spacing can contribute to sagging and may void warranty coverage. Measure the frame or foundation rather than assuming that a base suitable for another mattress meets this requirement, and read the current warranty language for the complete conditions.

Who should consider it
- Consider it if: you primarily sleep on your side, want a medium-classified mattress, and like a close, cushioned feel.
- Compare firmer options if: you dislike deep sinkage or an enveloping sensation, or you want a mattress with stronger RTINGS scores for back or stomach sleeping.
- Look closely at the Luxe if: you want to weigh a lower-tier Helix model against the Elite’s added height and manufacturer-described comfort construction.
- Check first if: you need a specific cooling result, rely on a particular frame, or are buying outside the contiguous United States; the stated claims and terms have defined conditions.
