These are platform specifications, not guarantees about every phone using either chip. For the G81, MediaTek’s official specifications contain the A55 clock-speed discrepancy shown above; the page does not resolve which figure should be treated as definitive.

How much faster is the Helio G81 in benchmarks?
NanoReview’s database lists higher results for the G81 in Geekbench 6 and AnTuTu 11. CPUBoss reports different Geekbench 6 scores and an AnTuTu 10 result for the G37; its captured comparison does not show a corresponding G81 AnTuTu 10 total. These are separate database results, not a single set of controlled tests on identical retail phones.

Do not combine scores from different benchmark versions or publishers into one comparison. The results support the G81 as the faster option in the listed database comparisons, but they cannot predict an exact speed difference between particular phones.

CPU and graphics: what the specifications suggest
CPU
The G37 uses Cortex-A53 cores in both clusters. The G81 pairs two Cortex-A75 performance cores with six Cortex-A55 cores, a newer-looking arrangement on paper. That gives the G81 the stronger CPU specification, while the benchmark databases above also report higher G81 scores.
GPU and gaming
The G81’s Mali-G52 MC2 is a more capable-looking graphics specification than the G37’s PowerVR GE8320 in the available comparisons. The sources do not provide controlled game tests on matched phones, so they do not establish a particular frame-rate advantage or guarantee how a game will run. Phone cooling, software and game settings can affect the result.

Which phone should you choose?
If two phones are otherwise similar in price and configuration, the G81 is the more promising choice for processing and graphics performance. But a chipset alone is not enough to decide between handsets. Compare the specific models’ RAM, storage, display, cooling, battery, software and price.

MediaTek’s Helio series page names the Infinix Hot 30i as a G37-powered phone, but the available information does not identify a specific G81 handset for a current, like-for-like phone comparison. Local network support and the phone maker’s implementation also matter for connectivity.
