Confido Health announced a $12.5 million Series A extension led by Z47 on October 14, 2026. The financing lifts Confido’s total Series A funding to $22.5 million and will be used to expand its CareOS platform across multi-location healthcare organizations and add AI agents for more administrative workflows and medical specialties.

Who participated in Confido Health’s funding round?

Z47 led the extension. Existing backers Together Fund and Blume Ventures also participated, while healthcare private-equity veteran Justin Saks joined as an investor and board adviser. The transaction is an extension of Confido’s Series A rather than a separately described new round.

Confido co-founder and CEO Chetan Reddy said the company built CareOS to perform work such as calling patients and collecting payments, rather than merely storing information in a system of record. Z47 partner and senior managing director Vikram Vaidyanathan described healthcare administration as a trillion-dollar cost center that has traditionally been managed by adding staff.

What Confido Health’s CareOS platform does

Founded in 2022 by Chetan Reddy and Vichar Shroff, Confido develops AI agents for healthcare administration. The agents are designed to execute routine patient-access and revenue-cycle tasks that normally require staff to move between phone systems, practice-management software, billing tools and electronic health records.

Administrative workflows

  • Patient calls and appointment scheduling
  • Insurance verification
  • Prescription-refill requests
  • Payment follow-ups and collections-related outreach
  • Referrals and other patient-access tasks

Confido’s description of CareOS uses the term “agentic AI”: the software is intended to take actions in connected systems, not simply generate a response for an employee to copy. Its official product description says the platform works across phone, fax, text and email while connecting to the electronic health record, practice-management, billing and telephony systems a provider already uses.

Integrations, deployment and claimed results

Confido says CareOS supports more than 50 integrations. The company also says a typical implementation takes four to six weeks from kickoff to go-live. Those figures describe the company’s published product and implementation claims; the announcement does not provide an independent audit of integration depth, deployment duration or outcomes.

Company-published metric Claim
Integration coverage More than 50 integrations
Typical kickoff-to-go-live period Four to six weeks
AI handle rate 95%
No-show reduction 50%
Monthly revenue uplift 15%
Equivalent staff capacity More than four full-time employees

The 95% AI handle rate, 50% reduction in no-shows, 15% monthly revenue uplift and more-than-four-FTE equivalent figure are all published by Confido. They should therefore be treated as vendor-reported indicators, not as independently verified benchmarks applicable to every practice.

How large is Confido Health?

The Economic Times reported in 2026 that Confido serves 3,200 healthcare providers across more than 1,500 sites in 27 U.S. states. The same report said the company had grown 15-fold since its previous funding round. The figures indicate that the company is targeting organizations with operations distributed across many locations rather than only single-site practices.

That focus reflects a specific operating problem: multi-location groups often have staffing shortages, rising administrative costs and a patchwork of software systems acquired or deployed at different sites. A platform that can work across those systems may be useful only if it can handle local workflow differences, permissions, escalation rules and compliance requirements; the available announcement does not quantify those implementation details.

Confido’s private-equity-first distribution strategy

Confido’s stated go-to-market approach is to sell first to private-equity investors that own healthcare platforms, then expand into the investors’ portfolio companies after results are demonstrated. This gives the company a route to multiple provider organizations through one ownership relationship and fits its emphasis on multi-site operations.

Vaidyanathan called the product “AI staffing for healthcare” and said Confido combines CareOS with forward-deployed engineers to make deployment fit each provider’s patchwork of systems. In practical terms, that strategy places implementation and workflow configuration alongside the software, rather than assuming every clinic can deploy a generic automation tool without technical support.

What the new capital is intended to fund

Confido said the $12.5 million extension will support broader CareOS adoption across multi-location healthcare organizations and the development of additional AI agents for workflows and specialties. The announcement does not specify a hiring plan, a timetable for individual agent releases or a breakdown of spending between engineering, sales and implementation.

For healthcare operators evaluating the platform, the most material questions are therefore operational: which existing systems are supported in the intended configuration, what human review and escalation controls are available, how patient consent and sensitive data are handled, and whether the published performance figures can be reproduced in the operator’s own sites. The funding announcement establishes Confido’s financing and product direction, but it does not answer those diligence questions.
