Haynes Furniture and The Dump Luxe Furniture Outlets announced permanent closures on October 8, 2026, and their going-out-of-business sales began that day. The announcement lists 12 stores in five states. It does not provide each store’s final day or guarantee that particular items, prices, or customer-service terms will be available.
What is closing, and when did the sales begin?
SB360 Capital Partners announced that both Haynes Furniture and The Dump Luxe Furniture Outlets would close permanently. The operator said the going-out-of-business sales began at 10 a.m. on October 8, 2026. It called the sale its “biggest sale ever”; that is promotional language from the announcement, not an independently measured comparison.

The announcement names four Haynes stores and eight Dump stores. A September 10, 2026, Furniture Today report had described a plan to wind down The Dump’s locations outside Virginia, with final dates not yet announced. The October 8 announcement is newer and states that both retailers are closing permanently.

Hours and stock can change during a liquidation. Confirm both directly with the specific store before making a trip.
What is included in the sale?
The announcement names brand-name furniture, mattresses, and rugs, and says markdowns would deepen during liquidation. It does not promise that any particular product, size, brand, or price is available at a given location. Treat prices and inventory as store-specific and time-sensitive rather than assuming a stated markdown applies to every item.

SB360 says The Dump opened in March 2005 and describes its previous outlet model as sourcing closeouts, overstocks, canceled orders, and designer samples. Its announcement describes former discounts of 40% to 80% off “established prices.” That range refers to the retailer’s description of its historical outlet model; it is not a verified discount on current going-out-of-business merchandise.
What customers should verify before buying
The closure announcement does not establish customer-specific terms for existing or new orders, delivery, returns, or warranties. Ask the store for the terms that apply to the item and transaction, and get any relevant commitments in writing before paying.

Why does the announcement say “128 years”?
SB360 framed the closure as the end of a 128-year Haynes family retail legacy. Haynes’s website displayed “After 125 years” when accessed, and the available public information does not independently establish the exact founding year. The 128-year figure is therefore best understood as the operator’s announcement wording, not a confirmed founding date.
In its announcement, Haynes executive chairman E.J. Strelitz called the closure “a bittersweet ending, filled with gratitude for four generations of customers and employees.”
