Yes: a community-made native ARM64 port lets the Anbernic RG35XX H play Halo: Combat Evolved online, and its developer reported joining a 23-player Blood Gulch match at 50–60 fps. That is one developer-reported session, not an independent benchmark or a guarantee of steady 60 fps. The port runs on the handheld’s Allwinner H700 platform rather than emulating an Xbox.
What the RG35XX H Halo port does
The unofficial project is based on the Halo CE decompilation project and builds native ARM64 code for Allwinner H700 handhelds. The RG35XX H is the project’s tested device. It adds a public server browser and supports online and local-network play; compatible OpenCE builds on PCs and other handhelds can join, according to the developer’s announcement: the developer’s multiplayer post.

This is a community port, not an official Halo release for Anbernic hardware. The handheld does not include the game through this project: users must provide original Xbox Halo CE game data.

What the 23-player match and frame rate mean
Project developer Masterchief1307 reported joining a public Slayer match on Blood Gulch with 22 other players, for 23 participants total. The developer said the RG35XX H ran at 50–60 fps, mostly 58–60 fps, and connected on the first try. This describes one session and build; no independent test or controlled benchmark is cited. The developer’s post is the source for the match report.

Other performance figures refer to different situations and should not be treated as interchangeable:
- Online match: 50–60 fps, mostly 58–60, in the developer-reported 23-player Blood Gulch session.
- Server browser: Notebookcheck’s release summary relays a developer-reported 60 fps after a text-rendering optimization; earlier browser performance was reported as 18–26 fps. This is browser performance, not match performance: Notebookcheck’s report.
- Campaign: The project’s table reports scene-dependent results on the RG35XX H under Knulli Gladiator II, with stock thermal limits and dynamic resolution enabled. At the default 0.75 render scale, it lists about 43 fps (range 38–47) for The Silent Cartographer beach battle and about 59 fps (range 39–60) for the opening of Halo. These are project measurements for those stated conditions, not a general gameplay guarantee: the project repository and performance table.
The October 7 release summary also relays developer-reported Silent Cartographer beach-battle results of 33–46 fps on muOS and 45–58 fps on Knulli. Firmware and scene matter, so “up to 60 fps” should not be read as a promise that every campaign section or online match will hold that rate.

What you need to set it up
- Original Xbox game data: The project documentation calls for a North American or European Xbox ISO/XISO. It says PC-version map files do not work. On first launch, the port extracts map data from the supplied image. Follow the project’s instructions and use game data you are entitled to use.
- Storage: Allow roughly 3 GB of free space on the storage card for the image during setup, extracted maps, and cache, as specified by the project documentation.
- Compatible firmware and package: Knulli Gladiator II is documented as tested. The PortMaster package on muOS 2601 Jacaranda is listed as tested starting with release v2026.10.07. The project does not establish the same tested status for other firmware and device combinations.
- Network peers: Online play is intended to work with compatible OpenCE builds on PCs or other handhelds; local-network play is also supported.
Check the current installation notes and supported build details in the project repository before installing, since package and firmware support can change between releases.

The developer reported personally joining a public online Slayer match on the RG35XX H. The same announcement says hosting and online campaign co-op were included, but the developer had not personally tried those features on the handheld at that point. Their inclusion should not be mistaken for the same firsthand validation as the public match.
