What the HRF450BS2 offers
Haier’s Quick Reference Guide dated 10 August 2023 describes a Satina-finish, bottom-freezer refrigerator with a reversible hinge. It lists 450L gross capacity, but 416L usable capacity: 310L in the refrigerator and 106L in the freezer. Usable capacity is the more useful figure for estimating how much food will fit. Haier describes the adjustable drawer as suitable for drinks, seafood or meat, depending on its setting. That flexibility is useful in principle, but it does not establish how consistently the drawer holds its selected temperature in everyday use.

Some owners posting on ProductReview.com.au report food freezing in the My Zone or produce drawers. Other posts describe damper-motor problems or a refrigerator breakdown. How much electricity does it use?
The published records do not agree, so do not use either figure as a confirmed rating for every HRF450BS2. Haier’s 10 August 2023 guide lists a 5-star rating and 274kWh per year. CHOICE’s model entry, which gives a 2021 test year, lists 4 stars and 336kWh per year. The sources do not resolve whether the difference reflects a record change, model revision or another cause. Will it fit your kitchen?
Haier lists the fridge at 1,725mm high × 700mm wide × 676mm deep. Measure the full route into the kitchen as well as the installation space: doorways, hallways and turns can be tighter than the final opening. Allow room for the doors to open and drawers to extend.

An Appliances Online Q&A says the user manual recommends 50mm clearance around the fridge. That is a retailer’s response citing the manual, not a substitute for checking the installation instructions for the exact unit. CHOICE’s historical listing gives a recommended opening of 178 × 80 × 73cm; confirm clearances against the relevant manual rather than treating a retailer or catalog figure as definitive.
