The manufacturer manual specifies AC 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz and heating-area ratings of 2000 W for 210 mm and 180 mm areas and 1500 W for a 140 mm area. Will it fit a replacement opening?
Check the individual appliance and kitchen opening before committing to a replacement. Published dimensions conflict: Haier’s manual gives overall dimensions of 590 × 520 × 62 mm, while its 2021 quick-reference guide gives 590 × 520 × 73 mm. CHOICE lists product dimensions as 59 × 52 cm and installation dimensions as 56 × 49 cm. Haier’s quick-reference guide also states a 490 mm installation cutout dimension without specifying the width in the extracted text.

Use cookware with a magnetic, smooth, flat base. Haier suggests checking the base with a magnet: if it is attracted, the pan may be suitable for induction. Centre the pan on the zone and choose a base size appropriate to it; the manual says pans smaller than 140 mm may not be detected.

CHOICE lists usable diameters of one 21 cm, one 18 cm and two 14 cm zones. Material names alone are not enough to establish compatibility: Haier excludes glass, ceramic, porcelain, wood, earthenware and non-magnetic aluminium, copper or stainless steel. A pan made from a normally compatible material still needs a suitable magnetic base.
How do the controls and safety features work?
The touch panel responds without pressure. Haier recommends using the ball of a finger and keeping the controls clean and dry; water or an object on the panel can make them difficult to operate. The manual describes a keylock, automatic pan detection, hot-area indicators, temperature protection and automatic shutoff behavior. A hot-surface indicator can remain on while an area cools, and the cooling fan may continue running after cooking.

How should you clean the glass?
For ordinary residue, Haier recommends cooktop cleaner and a clean cloth or paper towel. Avoid abrasive materials, which can scratch the glass, and lift pans rather than sliding them across it.

For a hot sugary spill, the manual directs users to switch power off at the wall and promptly use a scraper suitable for induction glass. Take care around hot surfaces and the scraper blade; follow the appliance manual’s instructions.
