There is no single Guardian Tales hero who ranks first in every activity. For a current broad snapshot, an October 2026 global-server synthesis places Klen, Myth Movie Star Eugene, Kamael, Seira, Alicia, and Future Princess in S tier. A separate all-character list, updated September 7 for version 3.53.0, ranks Klen, Legendary Hero Erina, Myth Movie Star Eugene, God of Harvest Kamael, and Ronin Cat Mikke in S+ overall. These are editorial rankings, not official game ratings; use them as a starting point, then choose for your mode, team, server, and account progress.
How to read a Guardian Tales tier list
A tier list compresses many different jobs into one ranking. Arena and other PvP modes, Colosseum, Raid, Kamazon, story stages, and tower content reward different combinations of damage, durability, support, and team synergy. A hero outside the highest overall tier can still be a strong choice for a particular mode or a team you already own.

The lists below are two recent editorial views with different scopes and methods. Neither is an official balance declaration, and their tiers should not be merged into a single definitive order.

In the October synthesis, A tier includes Erina, Beth, Gabriel, Violet Haruka, Illuni, Frieren, Milim Nava, and Mayreel. B includes Future Knight, Lilith, Mk.99, Angie, Garam, Nari, and Miya. These placements describe that source’s global-server snapshot; they are not a universal verdict on each hero’s usefulness.
Why rankings change by game mode
Arena and other PvP
PvP rankings depend on the mode, the opponents and teams represented in the data, and the server. Guardian Tales Guides describes a dynamic ranking system that uses KR top-100 rankings for Arena and Colosseum inputs. Its results are a useful signal, but they are not a region-wide official power rating.
Colosseum
Colosseum rewards team construction rather than a hero in isolation. A character’s role and fit with the rest of your lineup can matter more than their position on an overall list. Pocket Gamer specifically cautions that heroes outside its top overall bands may still perform well in Colosseum. Pocket Gamer’s mode caveat

Raid
Raid is another case where a mode-specific ranking can tell a different story from an all-purpose tier list. Guardian Tales Guides says its Raid input comes from its current raid results, while the broader list weights several activities. Check a Raid-focused ranking when building for that activity rather than assuming an overall S-tier hero is automatically your best raid choice. Guardian Tales Guides
Story, PvE, tower, and Kamazon
For story and other PvE challenges, a team that can handle the encounter and your current progression may be more valuable than a high-tier PvP pick. Pocket Gamer calls out Tower as an area where a lower overall-ranked hero may shine. Choose heroes for your account, not just the tier
- Start with the activity. Decide whether you need a hero for Arena, Colosseum, Raid, story/PvE, Tower, or Kamazon.
- Check the job your team needs. Consider whether your lineup needs damage, support, or a durable front line, and whether the hero’s synergy fits the party.
- Account for investment. A well-built older hero can still clear much of the game; a high-ranked new hero is not automatically the best next investment for an established team. The October global synthesis explicitly frames its high tiers as a wishlist rather than a pull order.
- Confirm server and availability. Ranking and summon schedules are not necessarily identical across regions. Collaboration heroes in particular can have availability caveats.
Roster size and regional scope
A Guardian Tales official summon notice dated September 15, 2026 lists 105 three-star heroes, 29 two-star heroes, and 22 one-star heroes for the EU/NA/OC/LA scope. These are counts in that dated notice’s “Hero List By Tier,” not a guarantee that every listed character is summonable at the same time or that other regional servers follow the same schedule. Regional context matters when applying a ranking. The official notice is specifically for EU/NA/OC/LA, while the October tier synthesis is identified as global-server coverage and the dynamic ranking guide uses Korean PvP inputs. Treat those as distinct evidence rather than assuming one list maps perfectly to every server.

Balance changes can affect tier lists
In a January 30, 2026 developer letter, Director Robin said that after the Myth update, Arena, Master Arena, and Death Match would use an adjusted level of 115 for all heroes. The letter also described planned work to reduce the PvP performance gap between Grade 5 and Grade 6 heroes. That statement documents the planned balance state at that date; later official patch notes may have changed it. Official developer news
