A report says the Miami Heat will stage a Vice City-themed game-night promotion on November 18, 2026, the day before Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to launch. The same report describes a new Take-Two–Microsoft licensing agreement. Those two claims have not been confirmed by the primary sources cited here, so they should be treated as reported—not established—details. Rockstar does confirm the game’s November 19 release date and its PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S platforms.
What the report says about the Miami Heat promotion
An October 5, 2026 article from ad-hoc-news.de, credited to boerse-global.de, reports that Rockstar Games and the Miami Heat announced an event called “A Night in Vice City.” According to that account, the Heat would host the Milwaukee Bucks on a Vice City-themed court and wear matching uniforms on November 18, 2026.

The timing would put the reported promotion one day before the announced game release. However, the available official Rockstar announcements do not confirm the event, and no primary announcement from the Miami Heat or NBA is established by the cited material. The arena activation, its date and its reported theme therefore remain claims attributed to that article, not independently confirmed event details.

The same article says Take-Two signed a new licensing agreement with Microsoft effective September 17, 2026, replacing earlier Xbox publishing arrangements. It characterizes the agreement as covering development, publishing, manufacture, marketing, distribution across Xbox devices, digital wholesale pricing, revenue sharing and royalties on physical media.

- This product contains a download code inside the box — no disc is included. Customer shipments will begin arriving November 12 for pre-load; game is playable starting November 19.
- Pre-order to receive the Vintage Vice City Pack.
- Grand Theft Auto VI is a single-player experience.
No primary contract or official Take-Two disclosure confirming the agreement or those terms is established in the available sources. That means the reported date, scope and commercial provisions should not be presented as verified contract terms. The report also does not, on the evidence available here, establish what the agreement changes for players or whether it alters the platforms on which GTA VI will be available.
GTA VI’s announced release date and platforms
Rockstar Games says Grand Theft Auto VI will release on Thursday, November 19, 2026. Its November 6, 2025 announcement said the additional time would allow the studio to finish the game to its expected standard. Rockstar’s release-date announcement gives the date; its later preorder announcement, dated June 24, 2026, identifies PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S as platforms and describes the game as a single-player experience.
Rank #2
For the physical version, Rockstar says the box contains a download code. That description does not establish that the box includes a game disc, so buyers should check the specific product listing before purchasing if the physical format matters to them.
What to treat as confirmed—and what to wait to verify
- Confirmed by Rockstar: the announced release date is November 19, 2026, and the listed platforms are PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
- Reported, not confirmed by the cited primary sources: the November 18 Miami Heat promotion and the details of Take-Two’s alleged new Microsoft licensing agreement.
For event attendance or merchandise decisions, look for an announcement from the Miami Heat, NBA or Rockstar. For the agreement’s scope and effect, an official Take-Two or Microsoft disclosure would be needed; the report alone does not establish the contract terms.
