Which cars can you upgrade at Hao’s Special Works? GTADB’s current roster lists 31 compatible vehicle variants. HSW is available only for selected vehicles, and access also depends on using a supported game edition and unlocking Hao’s shop. The roster below is GTADB’s maintained list, not an official Rockstar master list, so check the current list or the in-game HSW interface for changes.

GTADB’s HSW roster is the source for this consolidated list. Rockstar’s update notes confirm individual additions, including the Veleno GT in Title Update 1.73 and the Banshee GTS and Firebolt ASP in earlier notes, but do not publish a single official total for all compatible vehicles. What Hao’s Special Works does—and what you need
Hao’s Special Works is a conversion and upgrade service at the LS Car Meet in Cypress Flats. It adds HSW conversion options and further modifications to eligible vehicles. Standard upgrades do not make an incompatible vehicle eligible: the vehicle variant itself must appear in the HSW roster.

- An eligible vehicle: Confirm the exact model and variant in the current roster or the in-game HSW interface.
- A supported game edition: Rockstar’s 2026 notes specify PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and GTAV Enhanced on PC for the Veleno GT’s HSW upgrade. PC Enhanced should not be confused with PC Legacy.
- Hao’s shop unlocked: Xbox Wire’s player guidance says to take Hao’s phone call and complete a time trial using a high-performing HSW-modified vehicle; beating the par time unlocks the shop. The instructions are described in Xbox Wire’s GTA Online guide.
Platform labels in older vehicle-release notes describe availability at the time of those releases, not a complete current platform matrix for every vehicle. Rockstar later announced HSW features for PC Enhanced, while the inspected notes do not provide a vehicle-by-vehicle platform table.
Which HSW vehicle is fastest?
By GTADB’s HSW top-speed figures, the Bravado Banshee GTS leads at 172.5 mph (GTADB, 2026). That is a database performance figure, not an official Rockstar ranking. GTADB distinguishes top speed from lap time: lap time also reflects acceleration, braking, cornering, and the test circuit. A top-speed lead therefore does not establish the best choice for every race or driving purpose.

How to compare vehicles for your use
- Top speed: Useful when maximum speed on a suitable route is the priority.
- Lap time and class: Better context for racing; compare vehicles in the relevant class and account for the circuit.
- Handling and intended use: Consider whether you need a vehicle for racing, general driving, or another activity rather than choosing by one number alone.
- Purchase and conversion cost: Check current in-game prices before deciding; costs can change and should not be treated as fixed from an old listing.
- Platform and availability: Confirm the vehicle and HSW option are available in your game edition and in-game interface.
GTADB’s HSW roster also records the Pegassi Horus with an unverified top-speed figure. That missing figure is not a speed of zero and does not establish its rank.
Why the roster can change
Rockstar adds HSW vehicles through updates, so a roster count can become outdated. The 31-vehicle count here reflects GTADB’s list as of 2026, while Rockstar’s update notes verify particular additions rather than a complete, consolidated count. For a newly released vehicle or a platform-specific question, check the current GTADB roster and whether the HSW conversion appears for that vehicle in your game.
