That contrast is the appeal: names such as Pißwasser and OfficialPOACH make Leonida feel like a place with its own commercial identity, while letting the game’s satire operate without relying on real-company partnerships. “The real star” is an editorial judgment, not a claim that brands dominate the gameplay.
Does GTA 6 have real brands?
The examples documented in promotional footage use fictional names. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick, in remarks at the iicon conference reported by GamesRadar, described the brands as made up and said that meant the series was not at risk of brand partnerships. He was quoted as saying, “it’s a fictional world and everything in it is fictional. So we don’t have, for example, we’re not even at risk of doing brand partnerships because all the brands are made up. And I think that keeps us pure.” This is a reported executive remark, not a Rockstar-written statement.

Rockstar’s official pages name some fictional businesses and products, but they do not provide a complete brand catalog or an authoritative list matching fictional names to real companies. A resemblance may be a reasonable interpretation; it is not confirmation of a parody target.
What brands are visible in the GTA 6 trailers?
A timestamped ViceCityDB fan catalog identifies these readable examples in the promotional footage. The catalog is a secondary guide to the signs; the underlying visual evidence is in Rockstar’s official in-game footage announcement.

These are examples, not a verified exhaustive list. Seeing a sign in a trailer establishes that it appeared in promotional footage; it does not by itself establish how a brand functions in the finished game. An unofficial GTAFinder brands database likewise cautions that an appearance does not confirm gameplay role, final statistics, unlock conditions or story role.
Which names are confirmed, and which real-world comparisons are interpretation?
Rockstar’s official product listing names entities including Rideout Customs, Sara’s Unisex Salon, Shitzu Squalo, Stock 305 Clothing Store and Vapid vehicles. Those are confirmed names in Rockstar’s listing; the page does not identify them as stand-ins for particular real companies.

- Interpreted: a reader thinks the design, name or category evokes a real company. Without an explicit statement from Rockstar or Take-Two, that connection remains an interpretation.
This distinction keeps discussion grounded: a fictional vehicle maker can occupy the same broad category as a real automaker without the game or its publisher confirming a one-to-one parody.

Why do fictional brands matter to the satire?
Invented names give Leonida a commercial texture of its own. Shopfronts, ads, vehicles and platforms can make the setting feel saturated with selling and self-promotion, while the joke can target a type of product or marketing rather than require a real company to participate. That is an interpretation of the worldbuilding, not a published statement of Rockstar’s full creative intent.
Zelnick’s reported comments support the narrower point that fictional brands keep the series separate from brand partnerships. They do not prove that every fictional brand was designed to parody a specific company—or that a particular joke has a single intended target.

What is confirmed about GTA 6’s release and official merchandise?
Rockstar’s August 27, 2026 announcement says the extended-look footage was captured entirely in-game on PlayStation 5 and gives a November 19, 2026 release date for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Its official product listing identifies Rockstar Games as developer and publisher and lists those platforms and date.
