As of October 7, 2026, GTA VI promotional material and dated weapon guides show a growing arsenal, but Rockstar has not published a complete weapon catalogue. The clearest way to read the current evidence is to separate guns with reported in-game or Rockstar-provided names from firearms identified only by their appearance. The game is scheduled for November 19, 2026, according to the Rockstar store page; that date is still in the future, so this is a pre-release snapshot, not a final launch inventory.
Which GTA 6 weapon names are established?
The names below are reported from Rockstar materials or from markings and prompts visible in Rockstar footage. The source of each identification matters: a name shown in game footage is stronger evidence of an in-game label than a press comparison to a real firearm, but none of these entries establishes the full launch roster.

| Weapon name | Evidence and qualification |
|---|---|
| Girardi ES9 | Reported as Jason’s sidearm and named in Rockstar site copy, according to GTA Intel’s September 23, 2026 roster. ViceCity Guides says it resembles a Beretta 92FS; that is a visual comparison, not the game’s name. |
| Klose K17 | Reported as Lucia’s sidearm and named in Rockstar site copy by GTA Intel. ViceCity Guides compares its appearance to a Glock 17; Rockstar’s reported name is Klose K17. |
| Hawk & Little Morgan Revolvers | Named in the Rockstar Ultimate Edition benefits, as listed on the official store page. The edition copy describes the pair as “His and hers versions of this powerful revolver with classic Vice City stylings sourced from the Vercetti Estate, including palm-tree-etched grips, engraved detailing, and high-performance scope.” |
| Moreland 850 Shotgun | GTA Intel reports that this name appears in an in-game pickup prompt in Rockstar’s Extended Look. This is a reported reading of the footage, rather than a separate public weapon catalogue. |
| Mustang .357 | GTA Intel reports this name printed on the barrel in an official screenshot. ViceCity Guides also lists it among its five “Official name” entries. |
| Nipper .38 | ViceCity Guides reports this name printed on the pistol Lucia holds in cover artwork. Its source categorization differs from GTA Intel’s stricter count of Rockstar names. |
The counts differ because publishers use different evidence standards. GTA Intel’s September 23 tally says four names come from Rockstar material and separately identifies the Mustang .357 from a screenshot marking. ViceCity Guides’ September 19 list, updated September 21, treats five weapons as officially named and includes the Nipper .38. These are source-specific classifications, not an official Rockstar total.

ViceCity Guides’ September 2026 visual roster describes firearms visible in promotional material without claiming Rockstar has supplied their in-game names. The labels below describe resemblance or broad type, not confirmed model names.
#1 Best Overall
- Pistols: An M1911-style pistol has a slide marked “Capo”; whether Capo is a maker mark or weapon name is uncertain.
- Submachine guns: MP5-style and Uzi-style guns, plus a compact MAC-10-style weapon.
- Machine guns: A light machine gun compared by the guide to an FN M249, as well as a helicopter door gun.
- Rifles: AK-pattern rifles, Duke carbine rifles with a Duke 556 label, and an M1A-style battle rifle.
- Hunting and shotguns: A scoped bolt-action rifle compared to a Remington 700; pump and semi-automatic shotguns; and a long-barrel over-and-under shotgun.
- Explosives: A grenade launcher.
These are visual identifications by the guide, not a Rockstar-published naming list. A resemblance to a real firearm does not establish the fictional GTA VI name or an exact real-world counterpart. Rockstar’s official media gallery is the primary source for promotional imagery; the categories above follow the dated guide’s interpretation of that imagery.
Why do GTA 6 weapon lists give different totals?
Published totals are counts made under different rules, not competing official announcements. The dates and inclusion choices explain much of the spread:

| Publisher and date | Published count | Important counting caveat |
|---|---|---|
| PC Gamer, June 26, 2026 | 19 guns | A scan of trailers and screenshots; it noted that similar-looking firearms could be customization variants rather than separate weapons and excluded melee weapons because pickup status was difficult to judge. |
| ViceCity Guides, September 19, updated September 21, 2026 | Five named guns and about 15 more visible | Separates official-name entries from appearance-based identifications and includes a helicopter door gun. |
| GTA Intel, updated September 23, 2026 | 18 entries | Uses an evidence-focused roster; its handling of names and visible examples differs from the other lists. |
Whether a list counts a vehicle-mounted gun, a possible variant, or an item without a confirmed name changes its total. None of these publishers’ tallies should be presented as Rockstar’s official inventory.

Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →How to read claims that a weapon is “confirmed”
- Named in Rockstar copy or visibly labeled: The best basis for using a reported GTA VI weapon name, while retaining attribution where a guide interprets a frame or prompt.
- Clearly depicted, but unnamed: It is fair to say a weapon type or firearm appearance is shown; do not upgrade that into a confirmed in-game name.
- Compared with a real firearm: Use wording such as “resembles” and credit the guide making the comparison. The GTA VI fictional label, if known, takes precedence over the comparison.
- Known from leaks or earlier GTA games: Do not call it confirmed by promotional material unless it appears in the evidence described above. Familiarity from a previous game is not confirmation for GTA VI.
Rockstar has released promotional screenshots and footage, but the sources covered here do not provide a standalone complete roster. Names and visible designs may change or be clarified before release, so “shown or named so far” is more precise than “every weapon in GTA 6.”
