There is no officially announced GTA VI “Collector’s Edition” game edition. Rockstar’s game editions are Standard ($79.99) and Ultimate ($99.99); its $399.99 The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection is a separate merchandise box, and the game is sold separately. These are announced or listed US prices, before applicable tax and shipping. Rockstar Support and the Rockstar Store describe different purchases, so it helps to compare them separately.
What are the GTA VI editions and prices?
Take-Two announced the following US game prices on June 24, 2026. Rockstar lists the Collector’s Box separately at its store; its price is the listed US price as of October 3, 2026, and may change.

| Purchase | US price | What it includes |
|---|---|---|
| Standard Edition | $79.99 | Grand Theft Auto VI. |
| Ultimate Edition | $99.99 | Grand Theft Auto VI and the Ultimate Edition Upgrade. |
| The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection | $399.99 | 11 physical collectibles; the game is sold separately. |
The Collector’s Box is merchandise, not a third game edition. Buying it with Standard would total $479.98 at the listed US prices before tax, shipping, or other charges. Take-Two’s announcement, the official GTA VI page, and Rockstar Newswire distinguish the game from the box.
What does the Ultimate Edition add?
Ultimate costs $20 more than Standard in the announced US pricing. Rockstar describes its upgrade as in-game content threaded across Jason and Lucia’s story, with new items uncovered behind each chapter. Its support page lists:
#1 Best Overall
- Grand Theft Auto III: It all starts in Liberty City
- Grand Theft Auto: Vice City: Welcome to the 1980s
- Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas: Five years ago, Carl 'CJ' Johnson escaped the haze of Los Santos, San Andreas...a city tearing itself apart with gang trouble, drugs, and corruption.
- ’95 Grotti Cheetah; Hawk & Little Morgan Revolvers; Personalized Weapon Variants; Vice City Styles; Jason’s Safehouse Vehicles; Ganado Retro Build; Rideout Customs Mod Shop; Sara’s Unisex Salon; Shitzu Squalo; Stock 305 Clothing Store; ’67 Vapid Dominator Buggy and Garage; Electric Fang Tattoo Parlor; One-Eyed Willie’s Mod Shop; Goodtime Gear; PTT Youngin$ Compound; and Classic Car Collection.
Standard buyers do not have to decide on these extras at checkout: after redeeming the Standard download code, they can buy the Ultimate Edition Upgrade through the PlayStation or Microsoft storefront. Rockstar’s edition and version details identify the upgrade contents and this later-purchase option.
What comes in the Collector’s Box?
The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection contains these 11 physical items, according to Rockstar’s store listing and September 24, 2026 Newswire announcement:

Rockstar does not provide a comparative valuation for the objects, so whether the set justifies its price depends on how much you want these specific items.

Release, pre-order bonuses, and physical format
Take-Two scheduled GTA VI for November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar says qualifying pre-orders and purchases of either edition before November 20, 2026 include the Vintage Vice City Pack: a ’55 Vapid Stanier Sedan and Garage, outfits and hairstyles, and an exclusive weapon pattern. These bonuses are not exclusive to Ultimate. Take-Two also says digital pre-orders include one month of GTA+. Check your local store’s terms and cutoff time before buying. See Take-Two’s announcement and Rockstar’s pre-order details.

The physical game version is a download code in a box, not a disc. Rockstar says physical copies are expected to be available for shipping and pickup beginning November 12, 2026, to support pre-loading. Redeem the code first if you want to add the Ultimate upgrade later. The announced platforms and physical-format qualification apply to the information available as of October 3, 2026.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Which option makes sense for you?
- Choose Standard if you want the game at the lower announced price and are not yet sure you want the Ultimate extras. You can add the upgrade later through the supported storefronts.
- Choose Ultimate if the named in-game vehicles, weapons, apparel, and other upgrade content are worth $20 more to you. It is a game edition, not a physical collector bundle.
- Consider the Collector’s Box separately if you want the 11 listed objects enough to pay its listed $399.99 US price, and are comfortable buying the game separately.
For buyers comparing total spend, Standard plus the box is $479.98 before tax and shipping at the stated US prices. That arithmetic does not make the box a game edition or imply its collectibles have a particular resale value.
