That confirms nudity in the demonstrated scene, but it does not establish that the scene depicts sex or that the game includes interactive sex mechanics.
What the GTA 6 demonstration showed
Game Up News reproduced a transcript of an interview conducted when IGN visited Rockstar North in July 2026. Its demonstration notes describe an encounter involving Lucia and a man in a dumpster, then say the view switches to Jason, who is naked in the shower. The transcript’s account supports describing the demo as showing a nude scene; it does not say the shower scene depicts sex. Read the interview transcript at Game Up News.

What Rockstar said about physical intimacy
Asked about intimacy, Rockstar North co-studio head Rob Nelson said: “But physical intimacy is a huge part of a relationship, and so it has to be done right. Like anything that we do, we have to iterate and try things and iterate on it until we figure out what feels right.”
Nelson also said the team did not want a “weird caricature” and wanted to “err on the right side of it.” These remarks describe the team’s intentions and development process; they are not a detailed list of features or a promise about the final game’s content.

- Please note that although this game is Region Free or Region Unlocked and will work on all systems, this is the European version and may differ from the local version in age rating, labeling or instructions.
What remains unconfirmed about sex and romance
The shower nudity should not be conflated with an explicit sex scene. A syndicated IGN report says Rockstar had not confirmed whether players can have sex with Jason and Lucia outside scripted story moments. That leaves player-initiated sex mechanics unconfirmed; it does not change what the transcript says about Jason’s nudity in the demo. See the syndicated IGN report.
Separate August reporting says the romance is optional: players who do not want to pursue it can still have the leads work together. Nelson is quoted saying the characters will work together whether they are romantically close or not. Read the report on optional romance.
