Grand Theft Auto VI preorders opened on June 25, 2026. You can reserve the PS5 or Xbox Series X|S version through the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, Rockstar Store where offered, and participating retailers including Amazon, Best Buy and GameStop. The game launches on November 19, 2026.
Release date, platforms and preload
Rockstar describes Grand Theft Auto VI as a single-player experience launching November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5, PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X|S. There is no PS4, Xbox One or PC version in the announced launch platforms.

Prices and editions
Take-Two lists a US launch price of $79.99. Retail coverage has reported Standard pricing of about $79 in the US and $69 in the UK, with an Ultimate Edition at $99 in the US and $89 in the UK. Those retailer figures can be rounded, region-specific or tied to a particular listing; the amount shown on your final checkout page controls what you pay.

How to preorder without a region or delivery problem
- Choose the platform. Select PS5/PS5 Pro or Xbox Series X|S; older-generation versions are not among the announced launch platforms.
- Use the matching country store. Sign in to the platform account you will use to play, or select a retailer in that account’s country.
- Verify the edition. Read the product title and contents carefully, especially when Standard and Ultimate listings are shown together.
- Check timing. For digital orders, look for the November 12 preload date. For a code-in-a-box order, verify the actual delivery or pickup date shown at checkout.
- Confirm bonuses and total cost. Make sure any GTA+ month or Vintage Vice City Pack language appears in the offer, then review tax, currency and shipping.
- Save the receipt. Keep the order number and cancellation terms until the code is redeemed or the digital license appears in your library.
Common preorder pitfalls
- Wrong region: A code bought in another country may fail to activate on your account.
- Assuming a box means a disc: A code-in-a-box product can require a large download and an internet connection.
- Confusing dispatch with delivery: A retailer’s shipping date is not the same as arrival on November 19.
- Relying on an old price: Retail listings and exchange rates change; use the final checkout total.
- Missing the bonus cutoff: The Vintage Vice City Pack offer is stated for purchases made before November 20, 2026, so check the purchase timestamp and terms.
- Expecting an early unlock: Preloading only prepares the files; the announced play date remains November 19.
Which option should you choose?
Choose a digital preorder if immediate preload, no shipping risk and account-based access matter most. Choose a code-in-a-box listing if you prefer a physical purchase record or retailer pickup, but only after confirming the code format, region and delivery timing. In both cases, the safest order is the one whose platform, edition, price, bonus terms and date are all visible on the final checkout screen.
