What the GTA 6 trailer actually confirms
Rockstar published the official Grand Theft Auto VI launch-trailer page on October 15, 2026. That page gives the game’s scheduled release date as November 19, 2026, links to Trailer 1, Trailer 2 and an extended look published on August 27, 2026, and lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S as the announced console platforms.

The page does not describe the police chase as a message to a leaker. There is no quoted line, caption, character name or developer statement connecting the scene to Cyberleek. That distinction matters because the trailer itself is official, while the alleged warning is an interpretation made by viewers.
Why fans connect the chase to Cyberleek
A Reddit discussion posted on October 15 argues that the police chase uses the same car seen in Cyberleek leak footage. In that reading, the pursuit symbolizes Rockstar continuing to chase the person responsible for releasing gameplay. The theory spread because the trailer arrived after months of leak-related attention and because the alleged vehicle resemblance gives viewers a visual detail to point to.

That is circumstantial interpretation, not evidence of authorial intent. A similar-looking vehicle can be a deliberate reference, a reused design or a coincidence. Without a statement from Rockstar or an unmistakable in-game identifier, viewers cannot establish which explanation is correct.
How strong is the “threat” interpretation?

What Cyberleek had threatened before the trailer
The trailer theory gained force because Cyberleek had already made public statements about releasing more material. PC Gamer reported that Cyberleek claimed to have activated a “dead man’s switch” and threatened additional GTA 6 disclosures unless Take-Two allowed the dispute to slide. GamesRadar separately reported a threat to publish a complete GTA 6 build, including the full story, as part of demands involving Take-Two.

Those reports provide context for why fans were primed to read a pursuit scene as a response. They do not prove that Rockstar incorporated the leaker or the threats into the trailer. The reports concern statements attributed to an anonymous leaker, so they should be treated separately from Rockstar’s verified release information.

Rockstar’s confirmed response to the leaks
Rockstar has publicly expressed distress about the unauthorized footage. In an August 2026 statement quoted in coverage of the leaks, the company said: “It would be an understatement to say that having videos of Grand Theft Auto VI gameplay leak in this way has been heartbreaking for our team, and this is obviously not how we intended for you to see the game after all this time.”
The statement confirms the company’s frustration and that the leaked videos were not part of its intended rollout. It does not confirm retaliatory intent, a coded message, identification of Cyberleek or any legal action tied to the trailer’s police chase.

What viewers should conclude
- Confirmed: Rockstar’s official launch-trailer page was published October 15, 2026, and lists a November 19, 2026 release for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
- Reported context: Cyberleek was associated with public threats involving further GTA 6 leaks and, in separate coverage, a possible complete-build release.
- Unconfirmed: The claim that the chase is a warning to Cyberleek rests on fan interpretation of a possible vehicle match.
- Not shown by the evidence: Rockstar has not confirmed that it identified, tracked, threatened or legally targeted the leaker through the trailer.
Until Rockstar explains the scene, the careful answer is that the trailer may invite a leaker-related reading, but it does not deliver a verified message to Cyberleek. The game remains scheduled for November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, according to Rockstar’s launch information.
