- Approach the tattoo chair.
- Follow the current on-screen prompt to browse the tattoo menu.
- Review the available designs and use the menu instructions to make your selection.
Rockstar’s support instructions for Biker Tattoos describe going to a parlor, approaching the chair, and browsing the tattoo menu. They do not establish one universal controller button, so follow the prompt shown for your platform and control setup.

Story Mode and GTA Online are not interchangeable
GTA Online has received tattoo additions in official updates. Rockstar’s release notes document 15 new tattoos in Title Update 1.27, 15 in 1.28, 17 in 1.30, and 32 unisex tattoos in 1.68. These are counts added in those specific updates, not the size of the current catalog. They also do not establish that every Online tattoo or unlock condition is available in Story Mode.
If you are looking for a particular design or unlock, check the menu in the mode you are playing rather than assuming the two modes have identical catalogs.

Keep GTA 5 facts separate from San Andreas
Guides and search results for “GTA tattoos” can refer to Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, which has different tattoo locations and mechanics. Do not apply San Andreas details such as shop-specific selections, prices, unlock missions, or stat bonuses to GTA 5.
