The October 2, 2026 report does not say that a sale has closed or disclose a purchase price. Griffin was reviewing warehouses, inventory and other holdings, with October 22, 2026 identified as a target transaction date—not a confirmed closing.
What Griffin’s initial bid means
A stalking-horse bidder establishes an initial offer or framework for evaluating assets and moving a transaction process forward. In this case, Griffin Greenhouse Supplies is the named bidder for assets associated with BFG Supply. The report does not provide legal terms beyond that description, nor does it confirm a completed acquisition.
Griffin said it was assessing how BFG Supply warehouses, inventory and other holdings could complement its capabilities. No offer price, detailed asset schedule or final boundary of any sale was reported. Greenhouse Grower’s report, by editor Brian D. Sparks, was published October 2, 2026.
Five locations are under consideration
The report names five facilities Griffin was considering as part of its evaluation. It does not describe them as a final list of acquired sites.
