GreenGeeks shared-hosting plans and prices
GreenGeeks’ US shared-hosting page lists these offers and renewal rates as of October 5, 2026. The promotional prices are tied to 12 months prepaid; they are not the stated ongoing monthly rates. GreenGeeks’ shared-hosting plans are the source for the prices and listed allowances below.

“Unmetered” traffic does not mean unlimited storage: the page specifies finite web-space allowances for each plan. Before checkout, confirm the current offer, billing period, total due, and any applicable taxes; prices and offers can change.

What does GreenGeeks cost after the first year?
For the three shared plans, GreenGeeks lists monthly renewal rates of $13.95 for Lite, $18.95 for Pro, and $30.95 for Premium. That is the relevant price comparison after the promotional 12-month prepaid term; the introductory monthly equivalent should not be treated as the continuing rate. GreenGeeks’ plan page lists these renewal amounts, but the fee and terms in effect at your renewal are what matter.
What is included, according to GreenGeeks?
GreenGeeks lists free Let’s Encrypt SSL certificates, cPanel, and one-click installation and management for more than 150 applications, including WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal. The shared-hosting page also advertises a 30-day money-back guarantee. These are provider-listed features and terms, not independently tested results.
For WordPress, GreenGeeks describes its offering as including shared-hosting benefits and says migration specialists can help move an existing site, with staging options available. Those are GreenGeeks’ descriptions; the available evidence does not establish independent speed, uptime, or support results. See the company’s WordPress hosting information.

Renewal, cancellation, and refunds
GreenGeeks’ Terms of Service say accounts renew automatically at the then-current fee unless auto-renewal is disabled in the account dashboard at least five business days before renewal. The company says it sends renewal notices 15–30 days in advance, depending on the service, but customers are responsible for keeping their email address valid and acting in time.
Rank #3
The terms say the 30-day money-back guarantee applies to the initial service start, not renewals. Domain registrations and some add-on services are excluded from refunds. Read the current terms for the purchase you are making rather than assuming cancellation refunds a renewal or covers every charge.
- Check the billing term, amount due, and renewal price before placing the order.
- Record the renewal date and keep the account’s contact email current.
- If you do not want the service to renew, disable auto-renewal in the account dashboard at least five business days before the renewal date.
What GreenGeeks’ environmental claim means
GreenGeeks says it matches its energy use at 300% through renewable-energy credits and names Bonneville Environmental Foundation. Its WordPress page also says it plants a tree for each hosting account provisioned through One Tree Planted. These are company claims, not independently verified environmental measurements in the information available here. In particular, a 300% energy match should not be read as meaning a server runs on 300% renewable electricity; the available material does not establish the accounting method, lifecycle emissions, current partner arrangements, or impact attributable to an individual website.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Who should consider GreenGeeks?
GreenGeeks may suit someone who wants a shared-hosting plan with a stated website and storage allowance, or a WordPress user interested in the migration and staging options the company describes. The key buying decision is whether the plan’s renewal rate and listed allowances fit your needs—not just whether the introductory price looks affordable.
This review does not establish that GreenGeeks is faster or more reliable than competing hosts: no independent benchmark, uptime measurement, subscription test, or support test is available here. Treat performance and sustainability language as provider claims unless you have separate evidence relevant to your own site.
