Interest is not just a social-media impression. Axios, citing Sensor Tower, reported two audience and purchasing indicators around the reveal. Sensor Tower estimated that U.S. Netflix app usage was 35% higher during the reveal hour than during the preceding hour, and 50% higher than during the same hour on the previous day. Sensor Tower also estimated nearly 5 million preorders, with most customers choosing the Ultimate Edition.

Those numbers should be read as directional evidence, not as audited sales. Sensor Tower is a third-party measurement company, Axios is the reporting source, and neither figure is a financial disclosure from Take-Two. The Netflix comparison measures app activity during a specific reveal window; it does not mean all of those users watched the trailer or intend to buy the game.

The franchise scale behind the response
Grand Theft Auto V had sold more than 190 million units according to Take-Two’s 2023 reporting. Take-Two’s 2025 materials also put total Rockstar sell-in worldwide at more than 440 million units. Those figures help explain why a new numbered entry can create a large audience before launch: they represent the established reach of the series and publisher, not a guarantee that GTA VI will match any particular sales result.

PC availability
No PC platform or PC date is confirmed in the official materials covered here. Rumors, retailer listings or speculative release windows should not be treated as chart facts until Rockstar or Take-Two publishes them.
Final preorder totals

The strongest defensible conclusion is that GTA VI has converted attention into observable activity: a reveal-time audience spike, a large third-party preorder estimate and enough demand for Take-Two to publish two priced editions plus a physical preorder path. The evidence does not establish a PC launch, a final sales total or the commercial performance of either edition after release.
