If you’re buying Gran Turismo 7 to play on PS5, the Standard Edition is the sensible default. Choose Digital Deluxe only if its listed extras or PS4/PS5 access are worth the live price difference to you. If you’re considering a PS4 copy as a cheaper route to PS5, check the upgrade terms first: a PS4 disc requires a PS5 with a disc drive, and PlayStation’s current FAQ does not state the upgrade price.

Which edition makes sense for your PS5?
Choose Standard if you mainly want to play
The PS4/PS5 Standard Edition gives you the game on both generations and 750,000 CR. For a PS5-only player, it is the baseline: there is no need to pay for Deluxe content unless you specifically want those extras. A PS5 disc edition may also suit you if you prefer a physical copy; check the exact format, region, and current listing before purchase.

Choose Digital Deluxe for extras you’ll use
The Deluxe version makes sense if the Toyota GR Yaris, avatars, soundtrack, or dual-console entitlement matter to you. Compare its live price with Standard rather than assuming that every listed extra has the same value to every buyer. The store display lists two credit amounts, but does not clearly establish whether they combine into one total; verify the entitlements on the checkout page before treating them as additive.

Consider the 25th Anniversary edition only as a specific physical find
The PS5 disc, PS4 voucher, and bonuses describe the launch-era package, not guaranteed contents of a copy currently for sale. For a used or resale copy, confirm exactly what is included and whether a voucher has already been redeemed.
Can you upgrade a PS4 copy to PS5?
PlayStation says a PS4 Standard Edition can be upgraded to the PS5 digital version for an additional cost. If you own the PS4 disc, you need a PS5 with a disc drive: the disc must be inserted to use the upgraded game, and it cannot be used on a PS5 Digital Edition. The current PlayStation FAQ does not state the upgrade price. Sony’s September 21, 2021 launch announcement said there would be a $10 digital upgrade option at release; that is historical launch pricing, not a verified current quote.

Before choosing PS4 Standard as a way to save money, compare the current PS4 price plus upgrade cost with the PS4/PS5 Standard listing. Check that the edition and storefront region match the account you plan to use.
Do you need PS Plus or an internet connection?
PlayStation says online play is optional and requires PS Plus; its product page lists support for up to 20 online players with PS Plus. Optional online play does not mean every mode or feature works offline, so check the product details if a particular mode matters to you.
