Corning’s model-specific descriptions are the strongest evidence here for the glass claims. They do not, by themselves, establish other buying factors such as camera quality, software-support duration, service costs, or whether a particular seller has stock.
How to check other Gorilla Glass phones in India
India phone catalogs are useful as starting points, not definitive proof of the material in every listed handset. 91mobiles displayed 1,289 phones in its broad Gorilla Glass category on October 7, 2026. That is the directory’s count, not an independently audited total or a count of unique models confirmed by Corning. Smartprix’s category, updated October 7, 2026, includes phones from brands including OnePlus, Nokia, Xiaomi, Poco, Samsung, and Motorola. The catalogs may use a generic Gorilla Glass label without specifying the generation.

- Look for a model-specific glass description. Prefer the manufacturer’s or Corning’s page that names the phone and the exact glass type. Do not infer the rear-cover material from a front-glass claim.
- Confirm the India variant and seller listing. Check the current listing for the exact variant, seller, availability, and price; directory prices can change and are not necessarily live offers.
- Check the protection claim against the intended use. Treat the glass as one factor, not as a guarantee that a phone will survive a fall or remain free of scratches.
Corning says its public device list is not exhaustive: customer agreements prevent it from naming every device. So a model absent from Corning’s list is not necessarily proof that it lacks Gorilla Glass; seek a model-specific manufacturer statement rather than treating a catalog label or absence from the list as conclusive.
What Gorilla Glass does—and does not—promise
Corning explains that ion exchange allows potassium ions to diffuse into the glass surface. As the glass cools, those ions form a surface layer under compressive stress, which Corning says improves resistance to damage from everyday use. The precise claim depends on the product: Gorilla Armor 2, for example, is described by Corning as a scratch-resistant, anti-reflective cover material for mobile devices.

That does not make any phone shatterproof or scratchproof. Corning’s FAQ puts the limit plainly: “If subjected to enough abuse, Gorilla Glass can break.” A cover material can improve resistance to some everyday damage, but the outcome of a drop depends on the impact and circumstances; the glass type cannot guarantee survival.

How to use India catalog prices
The ₹124,898 figure for the Galaxy S26 Ultra is 91mobiles’ catalog price in its October 2026 view, not a verified live offer. For another phone, use a directory price only as an indication, then check a current seller listing for the exact variant and price. The glass material is not a reason on its own to choose a phone: weigh it alongside your budget and the features and support you need, which the available model-specific glass evidence does not compare.
